How did people find Pedri in this match though. I know he started out as a AML at the Palm, but was kind of underwelming to me.

No problem if he starts there here and there though, as a result of Xavi tactical evaluation of the opponents. Just as long as it's not because he is shifting pieces to slot in Liam Neesons particular set of skills in the 11.

Pedri should be deeper with FDJ and reacting to one another as to when to move forward/cover.

He had best game of season playing deeper v Sociedad.

If Messi comes back, could this work?

___________Ter Stegen______________
___Kounde____Araujo____Christensen__
________Frenkie_____Pedri___________
Dembele_______Messi__________Balde
__________Lewandowski_____________

Of course it won't, we will always start with a disadvantage with 10 men :p

Can someone tell me how long this "rebuild" will take????

According to Barto EV was entrusted with the rebuild and we all know how that went.
Imo our rebuild started after KOEMAN was hired but I've argued with other Barca fans who say that our rebuild will only start when the amigos are all gone. So apparently our rebuild may start next season which is crazy.
There's no way Laporta will sack Xavi unless we don't qualify for cl.
People are reading too much into these results. This is Barca. We measure our progress against the best teams not AB or Villareal.

I also want to know what the expectations are regarding the EL.
For some posters out here it seems acceptable for us to be an embarrassment in Europe (even the EL) as long as we make the top 2 in liga.
Will people be happy when we get embarrassed by Utd , Arsenal or even worse a lesser side???

Xavi is neither awesome nor shit. He is a young, learning manager trying to succeed in this tough job, trying to figure out how to deal with the problems of the current football medium and how to make the club he loves work, even though the situation he and Barcelona both find themselves in is hard to fix. He is 100% Barcelonista and cares for the club far more than other so-called legends. You have to respect that even if you don't agree with his methods and choices.

In short terms, you have to fucking wait and don't look at current Barca as an easy entertainment source, to make life hardships pass on easier. The club is not at your service anymore. Like in the past, a bad day at work, tune in and see Pep Barca toy with the best sides like they're a pub team. It's over. You have to do a bit of toughening up and understand the club is past its best period and back to the nasty groundwork. You have to invest some sort of sacrifice in this club for the foreseeable future. The alternative is to pass on and attach yourself to merrier pastures.

Try to downsize the level of what is worthy of appreciation, to match the current reality. In the past, only winning the CL was seen as instant pleasure gratification, even La Liga wins were underappreciated as casual feats. Now, even seeing Pedri and Gavi progress to becoming top-class players has to be seen as a great success for the next 1-2 years at least. As well as Balde, Araujo, seeing De Jong own the DM position, plenty to draw satisfaction for without being an elite team per se.

Reminds me of women who make excuses for their abusive boyfriends lmao.

You're more obsessed with Xavi than Font was. Not a single post without mentioning Xavi.

Are we forgetting the Fati Bdo jinx?

Whatever Fati predicts, the opposite will happen so I expect RM to improve in the second half :dembele:

Based on what?

Atm confidence is very high because of the last ucl win, they will play club world cup in 2023, big cl matches are coming...i don't expect them to hold the focus on ll while Barca has easier matches in el but if i would be Xavi i would prioritize ll over el. Let's see Ratio, i hope a similar end for Real like in 14/15, very good first half and then a lot worse second half.

Not 9ne Xavi fanboy has answered my questions.
The elephant in the room is Europe. How many humiliations do we have to suffer? Second consecutive exit from cl group stages.
