Pedri, Ansu, and Busi together, it's already way too much fitness and speed penalty on the system. Pedri maybe has a chance at a great career because he is very talented (highly doubtful though), but he should be the only slow and physically weak player in midfield and attack.

Pedri is faster than Gavi surprisingly, covers alot of ground. Runs like dogshit and huffs and puffs like Valeron admittedly which makes him look worse than what he statistically provides.

Didn't want to go into his frustrating individual errors (did they even train him finding outlets from AMC btw because he found himself there about 5 times and only managed a sideway pass to Gavi for the goal- the rest bad passes or tackled).

We all know Busquets issues. Before the World Cup Xavi would have taken off Busquets first and brought on Gavi. After the World Cup Busquets gets 120 versus InterCity and then the full 90 being bombarded by Atleti for 65 of those. While Frenkie goes off first and then Gavi. Nonsense.

Alot of this game was made harder by Xavi, but then again the first 25 minutes of sexy football was thanks to him.

Another thing he got wrong is Raphi coming on and going on the left where he is bad everytime. Why not move Dembele there and put Raphi on the right? We saw how this played out already and we done the same exact mistake from Malcom who is now bossing Gorky Park.

Statistics can be misleading, and there are many aspects of speed that can be measured.

Pedri's acceleration is terrible for me. In short bursts of pace, he is often caught behind by players he initially gets the better of. Many times he initially tricks a player with a fine touch, but the time and space he gains due to that dribble is immediately lost due to his poor acceleration and sluggish ball conducting.

He is frustrating. Like a smaller Busquets.

But he can still have a career if other players around him are strong and quick. He can refine is technique and vision, and get better at seeing passing options and channels, and be a top class player for us in a deeper position.

He can get a bit stronger physically and shrug them off like Zidane.

Yeah... if that's the case, maybe we'll compete with the best teams in 2030.

The consensus between economists and people following Barca financially is that we'll eventually have to open up for investment and change our ownership model. If we continue to struggle and/or make poor signings I can see it happening before Laporta's tenure ends in 2026.

There are a lot of people who i worry for their mental capacity if they praise xavi for defensive stability. Team has no control over games concede tons of chances even against a 4th division team. The team gets cut apart every match but la Liga teams are trash and can't finish and the defenders are good at making last ditch saves.

Lil bro you need to realize real Madrid has conceded 10 more goals against the same La liga teams. 16 and only managed to score 20.

Unless you wanna admit they are bigger garbage than us.

Serghei and others whitewashing Xavi were not so eager to do the same when Ernie was grinding results with horrible football

Let's say this one more time:
The yardstick of whether progress is being made is not reflected in the points, especially in a two horse league like LL,
but in the performance of the team on the pitch week in, week out

There is minimal progress there since Xavi took over, and we are stagnated with the same ineffective patterns of play and the same problems since a loooong while

Xavi, EV, Koeman, Setien are all different flavors of the same - average, mid table quality managers

It's shocking that this club hasn't had a single out and out elite manager outside of Pep in the last 20 years. And he was probably only given that job because he was an unknown.

Club has ambitions of playing beautiful football...but hires Bilbao level managers

We can look at la Liga results and think that we are pretty good, but if anyone watches the games, it becomes obvious we are hanging by a thread.

Last game when Atletico pressed, xavi tried multiple changes and the players just couldn't string two simple passes together. Pedri overheld the ball and lost it countless times, Dembele couldn't control, Balde wasn't at his best, Kounde couldn't dribble anyone, Mats passed to the stands while open players were available and fati can't provide back to goal spreading of the game.
The players do need to step up at some points, we can't always blame the coaches, even if they have faults too.
