Xavi and piqué? Of course they get on! Just because xavi said he didnt like piqué taunting madrid doesn't mean there is any sort of rift between the two, and not many people would assume there is.

Xavi. I can't really find the right word to describe him. And if I could, there would be way too many to name. He's just awesome, he's "the General", the one that makes this team click. People talk about Messi, and rightfully so, but the attack relies heavily on Xavi's service. When him and Iniesta are clicking, I truly believe there is not a better midfield in our sport today.

I remember when Barça went through that tough run of games, where we drew at Betis and at Lyon, lost to Espanyol (unfairly), and then to Atlético. It coincided with Xavi getting fatigued, you could easily tell he wasn't as fast or as sharp as he usually is.

When he's on, this team is, well, to put it simple: deadly.

I agree. Messi and iniesta are the types of players that drag the team through if they are playing poorly. But xavi makes the whole team play well if he is playing well. And if he isnt playing well then the team as a whole doesnt play well (barring individual performances from messiniesta). You gotta hand it to Eyebrows..he really is a maestro.

Absolutely. I can't believe the Arsenal fans actually think Cesc is better than Xavi. That's a laugh.

Cesc is a poor man's Xavi. teh kid has A LOT to learn and to improve to reach the level of our loved Xavi

but then again, Cesc is still young.

I agree. But to say he's better than Xavi right now? That's getting carried away.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be bias. Cesc is a fantastic player, he'll be even better as he gets older. But I just can't see how he's better than Xavi or even Iniesta. They both keep him out of the line-up for Spain.

Really strange by Senor Hernandez. It was a harmless chant, way different from Etoo as its not directed to Madrid as a club. Not to mention that he seemed to be enjoying it as he was the first to start jumping. But yea who cares...

it's called PR.

someone has to speak out against it so no tension could build between us and madrid over it. xavi makes the most sense because while he's a club captain and catalan, he's also not THE captain and is apolitical in general.

it was funny when cesc first emerged as an 18 year old to kick arse. gooners were going NUTS and saying this was some unprecedented shit. I prodded them and pointed out that, at 18, xavi did the same thing but also scored goals and won the league. :D

he's been my favourite barca player basically since he emerged onto the scene because I saw him as the replacement for guardiola who was my favourite player at the time (and the reason I started supporting barca). turns out I was right.

now even though iniesta and pique are so so awesome and messi is fucking magic, xavi is still my favourite player. he is the heartbeat of the side and the reason we own everyone so much. that he's also the heartbeat of spain just makes him even cooler.

god. I love that it's actually DIFFICULT to pick my favourite player from the barca squad. after xavi it's deffo messi and pique. then iniesta, puyol and valdes. then... I dunno. henry probably. oh and dani the mentalist.
