Aye Azpi is relevant as tried to sign him.

The fact he was rejected makes little difference to the point.

Olmo may never sign but safe enough to say Xavi would like to sign him.

Just as he wanted Morata.

Just as he rated Gavi could play ahead of FDJ.

Just as he massively rates Busi.

It's trusting the media over the things Xavi literally said... like wanting to play with true wingers... having fast CBs... all that was there in interviews before he joined... but the media says he wants Olmo... so yeah, take that at face value

Kessie, Christensen, Raphina, Kounde, Kessie... but Ferran I guess.

Aye just ignore Alonso and Bellerin.

Just ignore the way he thought Gavi could play ahead of FDJ.

Ignore fact he plays Busi week in week out and rates him as irreplaceble.

Or that he wanted Azpi.. wanted Morata etc.

Wants Zumimendi.

Renews Roberto x2 and talks him up as most hard done by player he has come across.

As said wouldnt be surprised if he wants Laporte.

We get dirt cheap Spanish players for short-term depth (arguably for easier acclimation)... shocking... but all the big transfers have been different nationalities and profiles apart from Ferran.

Also it might shock you, but people actually rate Gavi.

Nah it is shocking anyone would rate Gavi ahead of FDJ.

Truly shocking.

Again... no one has ever said he only wants Spanish players just that he over rates them too often and more than just about who was signed last year it is about selection/renewls etc also.

Try again.

Aymeric Laporte wants to leave Man City and achieve his dream of playing for Barça. He earns around €6.5M currently but would be willing to lower it. He has the same agent as Xavi, but FFP could be an issue. [@relevo]

Inbefore Xavi rates him highly by the press and some nice words from him when asked

Too late.

Already been mentioned.

So your position is Xavi would never want him and all press words.

What do I know? But based on Xavi's recent high profile transfers and the shit he said BEFORE joining us I am fairly sure he won't actually want him here.

What has Xavi said that makes you think he doesnt want Laporte and didnt want Olmo/Morata etc?

Does he not want Zubimendi either? That all talk also?

Xavi said a lot of shit before he arrived that doesnt add up to what he has done since arrived.

Zubimendi is your gotcha moment? Have you seen the DM market? And who cares, we will never know as it won't happen anyway. Amrabat was closer, what does that mean?

Just watch his masterclass videos or read the quite detailed (fan) scouting report with quotes and shit that made the rounds...

Nah Zumbimendi is just another in list of Spaniards he rates and you think over rates so easy one.

Gotcha if you like.

Xavi before he arrived specifically name checked Auba as a profile of player Barca dont need and rather more techical....

Xavi before he arrived spoke of 'obligations' to play in a certain 'attacking' way while not playing that way in practise and lowest scorers in 20 odd years in league but best defence.

He said a lot of things.

You can play that game with any coach. Lots of moving parts, lots of different opinions.

Base line is we got Auba. And like five non-Spanish players last Summer. And Amrabat was the most real DM option so far. Again, what does that say?

Haha you are the one that points to former words.... but its a 'game' when his words go against your point.

Nah no 'base line' as no one ever claimed all about transfers or he would only want Spanish players either.

If Xavi could have Zubimendi or Amrabat... there is one winner there.

Well, the transfers are actually cold, hard facts and not the non-sense the press says.

Also a Spanish club signs Spanish players (mainly for depth one might add). Shocker.

But sure, Xavi has wet dreams about Laporte, Zubimendi, Olmo and the likes. Who cares though as he has shown to be more pragmatic.

No it has always been the players he wants and decisions within squad.

Can choose to believe he didnt want Azpi, Olmo, Laporte, Zubi if you like.. all just press 'nonsense'.

You now claiming Xavi does not rate Zubimendi very highly.... top stuff.

Doubt he has 'wet dreams' about them but you be you.
