Koeman failed to get a title that seemed like a sure thing at the end. At home vs Granada. Then got the team to 9th place in the next season and got sacked for just cause. Seemed like he gave up anwyay.

Setien was just a passenger, the players didn't even listen to him, had no authority over the locker-room.

Xavi achieved more as a Barca manager than both put together already.

1) Koeman got the team in a position to challenge for a title that seemd unimaginable until January that season. Atleti and Real were both stronger that season.
The football the team played for 3 months that spring under Koeman with 3-5-2 was better than all the football played under Xavi

9th place is a load of crap as it has been pointed out many times to you, and you purposefully ignore it.
At the beginning of seasons, the point difference from 9th to 2nd place might be only 6 points, with many teams crammed together with 1-2 pt difference between them. That's what happened then as well.
The real cause for his firing was Laporta never really wanted him and made the dreadful decision to do it midseason

2) Setien didn't have authority indeed in the locker room, with the blame to the Amigos and the board for that.
But the point still stands: he wasn't given anything close to time and authority to prove himself

In honesty, nothing that can realistically happen this season is gonna make me go against Xavi and Laporta.

Ok, busted
Your bias is self-confessed

Xavi: 'If you want to win the title you need to win these kind of matches! We are getting the goals too easy, this hurt us. The foul on Raphina was cleary a penalty. I understand the criticism but there is plently of time, we can still win the title.''

You guys are just something else

Your expectations are built on some delusional arguments.

Something about how some 17-20 year old kids are the next Iniesta and the next Messi or some stupid shit like that.
It is a known fact that all the winning Barca teams in the last 20something years had have been built, in large part, by signing the best players in the world. All of them. Even the golden generation of La Masia had some 4-5 top class signings like Alves, Villa, Eto'o etc.

This is the main thing Barca fans pride about vs other clubs, that some of the biggest players of all time in their position played for us at some point. So, if you are a Barca fan and you have some logic in you, you'd know that Barca has been used for decades to cherry pick some of the best players and best talents on the planet until 3-4 years ago. The creme de la creme of Brazil's superstars of the last 30 years have played for us at some point. Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Neymar, Ronaldo, Romario.

You simply can't seem to understand that one of the main reasons why the team played amazing football along the years is because it had an insane collection of stars in almost every position.

This Barca is BY FAR the worst team the club had in like over 30 years. You'd have to go back to the 80s to find a team having as starting wingers a reject like Joao Felix and a kid like Lamal.

This is your comeback argument? This league has won 2/4 top titles in European football in the last 2 years. 1 CL and 1 EL title.

Other than City, PL is not much different than La Liga. I'd bet on Madrid vs Arsenal, and Sociedad vs United or Newcastle.

I agree that this Barca is surely one of the best barca versions but is this team weaker than Shaktar Donetzk, Alaves or Rayo? There would be a difference if we play like this against Bayern or City but that is not the case...

Dude, you have become a laughing stock in here, and you don't seem to realise.
Stop clowning yourself with stupid excuses anymore. Quit...

You are the only Xavi apologist left on this platform.

Those are just isolated games. Ahead of Shakhtar in CL, ahead of all those other teams in the league. Barca are superior and the standings in CL and La Liga reflect that.

Only team that is on a hot run atm and punching much above their quality is Girona.
