Exactly lol,he's gonna die in that cross.

No sensible person in football would trade xavi for those two or hold them up as a high standard of coaching.

They have so utterly and totally failed at their "project" compared to Xavi with way more resources.

De zerbi is also getting a bit overrated wouldn't trade xavi for him.

Arteta got like 7 years at arsenal to build his project, has spent maybe close to half a billion euros and the return for that is a FA Cup, he's DEVELOPED into a very good coach though, key words being developed.

Nags has potential
Flick is a risk, you're not sure what he can really do outside of covid

Like I said many here are basically saying if xavi isn't a top 3-5 coach in the world, he's trash.

You don't understand the simple fact that Xavi has only RM as competition, which in a bad year (like last season) makes it a free run to the LL title if you are a Barca coach

In EPL you have to compete against the best coaches in the world in already developed projects, let lone when you just started (1st or 2nd project year)
Yes, ARTETA proves that given time a top coach will eventually win. but, GIVEN TIME

Now the fact that Poch and ETH will keep attracking top club interest, despite being treated horribly by their former clubs, is a testament to their value
compared to Xavi, who attracts interest from a club like Ajax (development not top club), despite being pampered again and again by Laporta and board

Well it would probably be reaching the final.

If PSG go through the narrative will be that Xavi managed to lose a lead, at home too.
If we get knocked out in semis the narrative will be that we bottled it since we're heavy favourites against both of Atleti/Dortmund beforehand.
Both those losses would be nail in the coffin for Xavi.

Only way we lose graciously is by getting beat in the final against a team that's superior to us. That in turn would be 'acceptable' for Xavi to remain. Of course if he wins all of it he'll become a saint.

OTOH, if he wins CL then it is perfect time to leave now.
You leave as CL winner, you are immediately favourite for any open managerial job, with power to make changes you want. Never mind he will leave a great legacy here. He could risk a lot if he stays.
Essentially, only CL final loss will keep him with this logic :ROFLMAO:

Automatically becomes our 3rd greatest manager ever after the obvious two if he wins a CL with this team

Why would he leave in that scenario? He could do nada for next 3 years afterwards and still be a coaching legend in Barca  Barca has never able to win CL without having a dominant, world-beating team. So he would have achieved something truly special.

He is gonna go regardless. The club is gonna cycle through managers over and over again, from 1 season flops to 2-3 seasons good or great ones.

But if he leaves behind a La Liga title and a CL final in 2 seasons... the next guy is gonna be in a lot of trouble to even maintain these types of results, let alone build on them.

For the sake his health probably . And for his hair. Stress on the job at Barca is insane. Not even Madrid is that demanding.

Don't think he buys the ingredients. He asked Zubimendi, Bernardo and some other names that are too hard to get. His choices of transfers as per the rumors in the media are too expensive for the club's possibilities.

He wanted Ferran, that's already a death sentence.

Xavi is no better than Lucho. He'll probably get another 1-2 jobs at important clubs but they'll figure him out eventually and he'll be a nobody in club management.

You lot have a short memory it seems.

Lol, so did Pep. He is a good manager, but the road from good to great is very long.

He is a young manager at the begining of his career. Premature to make silly predictions like that.

That is non sense, of coarse he wants the expensive players first and the finance department told him no. He is still the one pushing for every player we signed and wanted full power. Inability to get his expensive wishes isn't indicator of him not being in power.
Big part of him leaving is because Deco is an SD now and he isn't giving his role to Xavi, unlike Alemany who was just a negotiator and was happy to let Xavi get what he wants with what we have.
