It's not "could", because Xavi already announced that he's retiring from the NT after the WC.
It looks pretty clear that he wants to make money before retiring from football. I wouldn't be mad after him if he left for Qatar, he gave so much to the club. He will come back anyways… as a coach, or as a staff member. I'm pretty sure of that.

Since Lucho was appointed, these rumors started. I don't remember if they dislike each other or something... But Xavi still has a role to play. Hope he accepts it.

I think it's a coincidence. They're saying Lucho wants Xavi to stay.

really? did you guys know that Xavi was set to retire??? It's all news to me.

Quite a heavy blow, losing Villa/Puyol/Xavi/Valdes/Cesc in 12 months. I'm sure you'll be able to handle it
