I see no reason why Balde shouldn?t have started. he could have rotated against cadiz instead, it was clear that our defensive insecurity was affecting the team all throughout the game until Balde and AC came on. Even switching Kounde and Araujo turned out to be the wrong choice, Kounde is clearly a bit rusty playing cb, atleast compared to AC and Araujo.

He didnt rotate the teenagers who's played the most and consistenly runs the most, Pedri and Gavi. Only Balde who has played the least in our strongest back four.

Christensen is a mature pro, played regularly at Chelsea for 6 years and played a CL final aswell as Semis in the Euros with Denmark, being rock solid in both matches.
