The league title would be good for this season, even though we shouldn't forget that it still comes with a big cost. We basically bought Lewandowski to get that one, while failing in Europe.

But that's only for this season, next season we absolutely have to step it up in CL. Going through to RO16 shouldn't even be in question, it should really be about seriously competing. What is far from a sure thing considering we apparently can't beat anyone currently.

We can always beat our lil bros Real Madrid

Time to get them an ass whooping again

Injuries and all that... Oky

But the simple fact is that Xavi was badly outcoached by Ten Hag mid-game. We did fine the 1st half, but ETH saw the space we were leaving on our left side and ploped on Antony to exploit that.

As soon as we concieded 1st goal, Xavi should have solidified the left flank. Bring on Alba for Bob.we were getting cut through like butter on that side. But he failed to do that until it was too late.

You can get away with things like that in the league, but not in the European knock-out competitions. Hopefully he learns from that, but I doubt it.

Nah, ETH's move to put Rashford as a more mobile 9 instead of Wenghorst, and put in Antony on the right was always on the cards. It's like Xavi said, we started the 2nd half badly and with more errors in defense.

This is not a game where you can say either manager surprised anyone really. ETH moved better midgame because he simply had players of impact from the bench to change the course of the match, while we did not. Like Antony, who was decisive in the 2nd half.

Did you even watch the match?

We were able to control the game in the first half and be somewhat decent. Second half Utd score ,make some changes and we go to pieces. Xavi barely reacts. His subs are Ferran and fucking Alonso.

Get a grip.

Oh yeah, and who else would you bring on? Alba?

We just have no bench. I believe that our best first XI can compete and possibly beat any team in Europe but when any of those players is missing we will obviously struggle.

We've played no European game with the best posssible XI this season. Had injuries in defense in group stage of CL against Bayern and Inter (had to play retired Pique) and were missing Gavi and Pedri yesterday and Dembouz in both games.

That's bold claim. That BACK defense is good but not that legendary like many think. We conceded 7 goals only cause of Stegen god mode and the quality of Liga right now. BACK defrns against Utd just now, can not protect 1 goal lead and lose.

Some say we miss Pedri, Gavi, Dembele. True but can they win a big European game??? Dembele usually dissapears. Gavi can not do that. Neither does Pedri. Frankfurt destroyed us last season when they played. Bayern and Inter whacked us this season.

Winning the league is always good but losing too early in Europe isn't.

Xavi is like Spainish Conte now, with more money.

He is still learning.

It is not about the players. It is about the offensive tactics. We look sterile in attack (even in La Liga), while having Fati, Torres, Lewa, Raphinha. That is on Xavi.

We should have kept Luke if Xavi can think of nothing better than Xavicross.

To be fair, defensively, we are fine.

We will get there. It's a matter of fixing the finances, and seeing our young core mature. Nobody does great in CL at their first attempt, with half the team having little to no European experience.

One thing though, we need to get more inspired transfers in offense.

With what money?

I said they can compete with any team, not beat them. I'll take "being competitive" for now as it's and improvement over last few years.

But clearly having these guys available we'd have better chances against United than having to play likes of Roberto.

We are a better team than the one that faced Frankfurt last season and as said were playing likes of Pique and Eric against Bayern and Inter earlier in the season.

You're falling on deaf ears here.

We played with full team other than Dembele at Camp Nou, United were missing 5 or 6 regular players, and we were lucky to get a 2-2 draw.

Even in the return they played with players like Weghorst who wouldn't even play at Barca B. Every team has holes and has to deal with injury issues sometimes, its not exclusive to Barca.

We played Alonso and alba at camp nou

Pedri off at HT or before that I dont remember

No dembele

WE basically played B team both legs

And camp nou is where the Tie was lost thanks to these factors ( also lost gavi there)
