When was the last time we heard some meaningful comments from Xavi about the tactical side of the game?

All we seem to hear from him these days is some platitudes about intensity or mentality or wanting it more like a broken record every press conference.

Its genuinely like he sees no problem at all with his own approaches and thinks it must all be the players or not having enough money or the referees or some other excuse.

Lets hope he gets his plane ticket misaranged to qatar and gets his passport taken so that he can terrorize arabs with his shitshow press week in week out

It's going to be one of those situations where he will never get a big job in Europe again and then ends up somewhere like Kuwait national team manager.

The quotes coming out sound like he is starting to crack. I imagine it has been an extremely stressful week.

Luckily we have a small break in 8 days time for our 4th refresh of the season.

It's all his fault if that happens.
If he wasn't an entitled prick who thought that he is only good for the Barca bench without any serious experience, he would have started his career in Europe with a club like Girona and started developing his skills and learning from there

In nicest way possible ppl who exepct managers to resign and give up big contracts are deluded

The only high profile manager who's done that is Gattuso who is a special case

It's amazing how he went from "This is Barca. We should win every game and every team should fear us" when he first started here to "This is a team under construction" now after 3 seasons and spending like 200m.

Well said.

Where is the mentality? I only hear excuses.

Xavi: "The defeat that hurts us is the one on Sunday in Girona, not this one... We are in the round of 16 of the UCL after two years."

There's truly always something to excuse terrible performances. Have we ever seen him put his hands up and say he hasn't been good enough?
He has no pride left. Losing to Antwerp no big deal..

Yet we keep playing every game like this. It's not an accident. It's every game.

Damn, Girona would be fighting relegation if so.

It doesn't matter if it was a dead rubber, this isn't how top teams behave, you should never be losing games to teams as bad as Antwerp.

Yep. Perfect example being Pep going with full on kids today in Serbia except Grealish/Foden and the CBs and still winning. Like we should've gone with tonight's GK and defense (team selection there was good, although I would've liked Cubarsi instead of clown Kounde, who shouldn't play CB ever again), but then in midfield Casado and Garrido alongside Fermin, and Guiu instead of Lewa obviously. And win of course. We can only wish for that standard to come back here.

But we go with never Barca standard Romeu, never good enough and about 10 years overdue Roberto and a 36-year old Lewa. And to top it off, we lose and embarrass ourselves even further. A perfect representation of just how low the standards here have fallen.

No. Bring someone and make xavi second coach, if not let him terminate his contract.
This would be the way. But there is simply no way Xavi's ego would accept that deal now. Maybe before he became main manager, and even then probably not, but now surely not.
