Xherdan Shaqiri

Very strange, Inter are practically booting him out of the club, fee agreed and everything, it's down to him now. I knew he wasn't having the best of times in Italy but I didn't think it was that bad. Mancini was so keen to bring him on board, got him, now this...

He might not have impressed very much, but this is quite the drastic step taken by Inter. As EdmonDantes said, it seem like they're kicking him out. What did he do?

I think it's more to do with the fact that Inter needs to sell. The fact that Shaqiri hasn't impressed at all doesn't help him either.

Dunno why Liverpool/Spurs are not involved, Stoke have 2 CL winners in their side now, amazing buy for them if it goes ahead.

This is how Inter get to keep Kovacic and still spend, I guess. I like Shaqiri but between the two of them (and Icardi) I know which one I'd sell.

Shaqiri has a weird physique as a footballer. Probably lifting too much weight. Too muscly, specially for a short guy like him. Everytime I watch him in action he looks out of shape to me. Mancini bought him to play him as a winger in 4-2-3-1 but he failed there. Shaqiri said he's best suited playing behind the strikers. Mancini put him there and he fail there as well. I'm all for giving the player enough time to settle but I don't mind letting him go for a decent price if it's about choosing between him and the likes of Kovacic and Icardi.

Stoke have placed a bid of 17m Euros. Everton have placed a bid of 16m Euros. Stoke's has been accepted by the club. Neither have been accepted by the player.

Speaking as an Everton fan I would love for us to get Shaqiri. He's exactly what we need and we would play him in his best position as a No10.

Like a more exaggerated version of when Ben Arfa joined Hull. Too talented for a pokey club. Move, if it does go ahead, will end in tears by January.

He's only 23, did very well in last year's WC finals, he's strong and fast, so I think this could be a bit of a coup by Everton or Stoke. I just find it odd Inter are so keen to sell, after just 6 months.

17m Euros is a very good offer though. Thinking of it, I wonder what someone like Felipe Anderson would cost. Based on the season he has had at Lazio, his age, talent and potential, and obviously Shaqiri's fee, it wouldn't be inconceivable for a bigger club to splash out 40 million Euros on him.
