Is it just me or does he somehow always lookes like a 1.85m tall and muscled man in a 1.65m small package? Don't know what it is, but I find his bodey quite weird

Well he looks kinda tubby :p but its muscles. It is a weird body shape actually cause his weight isn't more than his height, it's more just by one.

Shaqiri is very fast, agile, has a great shot. Reminds me more of Robben than Ribery.

His runs are like a bull, his shot is like a cannon, and his technique is good enough to help him fit in and link up. Robben is a trickier player, but Shaqiri is very different and has a more powerful style of play. He's the kind of player you'd label as a "bus breaker" if he were to develop further and reach his full potential.

Scored a brace against Freiburg and had a great game overall, very involved. Perfect showcase for his talent but his development has stalled under Guardiola and I think he should join a club where he could play more regularly and in a freer role, i.e. in the middle (preferably as false 9).

It's not just contract fluff either, even Suisse media have been critical of how poorly he's been used which will hurt the NT in Brasil...But it's on the player too, he should've never agreed to such a move in the first place...His ambition has clouded his judgement and he's bitten off more than he can chew - even before Pep arrived, the depth at winger was always going to be a problem

Shame too because I think his development has absolutely stalled, I've seen Pep even using him on the left which is hard to fathom considering he's left footed and has a Roberto Carlos-esque shot with it

Italy, for now, will remain only a distant mirage. Xherdan Shaqiri pack your suitcase, the Premier League is in its future. The Swiss player now author of a hat-trick against Honduras, like the Milan and Rome but also to Liverpool to be a clear advantage over all other teams. At this time, the player's agent-brother was in England to meet the leadership of the Reds and discuss the financial details of the contract. The farewell at Bayern Guardiola nears, Shaqiri sees the Premier.

I think it's a real good move for him but I still think his development has tragically stalled...He looked great against a terrible Honduras side but has been otherwise absent during this WC...His Messi-esque goal yesterday is truly one of his signature moves ala Robben which begs the question of how Honduras failed to factor that in when defending him

It's not official yet but I'm happy if he ends up at Liverpool...Rodgers will hopefully get him to round out his game and take the leap to the world class levels of footballing greats...I do think there are ego issues with him but I wouldn't characterize him as a problem player...He just has to work harder & deliver more consistently

Yes, he's had an underwhelming season but he's only 22. Still has plenty of time to improve. Liverpool would be a great club for him.
