But not when Yaya shot, which is the essential point, shots should be taken in the correct circumstance, not in the situations Yaya chose to shoot.

well he has nailed them from distance before, against Inter in the camp nou for instance. you can't castigate a player for having a bad shot, you may not know this but they dont all come off. it wasnt even a terrible effort.

it probably was a better idea for van basten to try and side foot that cross back into the box in the 88 final, should write him a letter explaining the statistical fault in his choice.

I don't want him gone if he keeps his agent in check and buckles down, he has a valuable role to play on certain occasions and can be an awesome player (see CDR final, Rome etc.) but tonight wasn't one of his best moments, that's my only point, I'm not sure why some choose to be so sensitive - well actually I am sure, but that's by the by.
