Yaya Toure

I don't have unlimited time to spend on this forum, Yaya was one of the poorer performers tonight and his thread is towards the top of the forum, hence why I made the comment.

usually i agree with all of your comments.
and plus, you're a senior here..
but yaya was definitely not one of the poorer performers..
he did what he was asked to do. defend. and spread the ball. bring the ball up.
yes he made a couple of bad choices, but it wasnt only him. even xavi made a few bad choices, the master himself.
so i think you're being harsh on him.
plus, i thought everyone did a good job but just couldnt break down inter.

You can hardly claim objectivity when you have a Yaya avatar though.

fair enough. but come on. how can you single him out? zlatan's job is to attack...FAILED. alves's job is to assist in attack and cross...FAILED. busquet's job is to be more creative than yaya as many on this forum claim...FAILED. yaya had a couple bad long balls and a couple of long shots that he tried. why does this warrant him to be singled out?? it's not even his job to do that. you, meta, and others have said repeatedly that busquets is more creative than yaya, so surely a lot of the blame should go to him as well for not being able to assist xavi in breaking down the defense?

i dont see what rationale there is to criticise his performance? he wasnt a creative spark but then if messi can only make 2/3 things happen what can a stand in centre half do? he did his defensive job fine and made his passes, all that could be asked.

how people can criticise him for a handball he didnt commit shows how much people have it in for him around here. keita and busquets might as well have not played..

No-one is singleing him out. Alves is a right back...defend is his first job. but he was poor
no1 was worse than Milito but he was out of position...

Check the Zlatan thread, I've been one of his biggest defenders in the past but I've rightly slated him tonight, on MSN I've commented to Meta that Maicon owned Dani over two legs and settled the Selecçao debate whilst Dani failed to provide a decent cross in 180 minutes of football. I thought Busi was ok, but undeniably nothing special, however he made less glaring errors than Yaya tonight.

primarily his 1st priority is to defend, if hee had done that in the 1st leg we wouldnt be out.
i agree his offense is huge, but again no need to be a cunt

So maybe then people, i know its anathema to some boardies here, but maybe PEP has to take the blame over the 2 legs( and going back to the transfers too if we go back!!) of the way the team never played to its potential...Before some of you ass-holes think im critisizing Pep.........CHILL!...Like any organisation when something goes wrong, am not trying to play the blame game, but genuinely look at WHAT went wrong...and i think the buck stops with Pep and whorever the fuk is in charge of our transfer policy!!!!

you cant put that on dani, that was pedro's man.

it is a lot easier for defenders to look good when teams park the bus than when they have to do a lot more, which is why most barca defenders fail.
