you cant put that on dani, that was pedro's man.

it is a lot easier for defenders to look good when teams park the bus than when they have to do a lot more, which is why most barca defenders fail.

No i know it wasnt his fault for the goal. but he was the weak link for sure along with maxwell.

what were these glaring errors?

Poor passes, a shot that went for a throw in, another shot off target when patience was required, an intended cross when in behind the defence which went straight out of play. He was crap tonight but people who have their bread buttered on the Yaya side won't accept that and if you're one of those then so be it. No doubt you'll find a NWO conspiracy in it all.

So maybe then people, i know its anathema to some boardies here, but maybe PEP has to take the blame over the 2 legs( and going back to the transfers too if we go back!!) of the way the team never played to its potential...Before some of you ass-holes think im critisizing Pep.........CHILL!...Like any organisation when something goes wrong, am not trying to play the blame game, but genuinely look at WHAT went wrong...and i think the buck stops with Pep and whorever the fuk is in charge of our transfer policy!!!!

There's no doubt that Pep takes a share of the blame, as manager the buck does stop with him and it's difficult to deny that in the touchline battle he got thoroughly outplayed by the translator.

ooh nice cheap shot.

you basically described every player we had tonight, i seem to remember pedro and keita having far worse shots and some of the crossing from wide from dani, maxwell, keita, pedro and jeff was bruce dyer.

im pretty sure the poor passes refers to one pass, ooh hang him. he was playing CB ffs and had a standard game but for a frustrated shot and an assist wrongfully disallowed. im not saying he was amazing but he did what he had to do with minimal fuss, i think you need to look to blame the players and reasons who were really at fault tonight adam.

regarding those shots, i was kinda glad he took it cos passing left to right and back to the left won't help anything.
and i thought that others would follow and try to take shots but they didnt.
keita misses a shot too..so did pedro, our striker..
why the hate on yaya? be thankful he is willing to play out of position once again.

Like I say, you're bread is buttered on a particular side and you'll stick to that. Fair enough, I've given a fair distribution of blame tonight but I won't join the Yaya fanclub and pick up a paint brush to whitewash over his glaring errors.

A shot off target isn't necessarily a wasted shot but both Keita and Yaya took stupid shots tonight when they should have remained patient. I don't hate Yaya, I'm giving objective criticism on a player who blatantly underperformed, no doubt those of certain persuasion will choose to brand me racist, or a hater or try and name a player they believe I've declined to criticise but c'est la vie, it's water off a duck's back

strongly disagree with CA's posts. it's not about bread being buttered on a particular side. its about distributing blame fairly when our team performs poorly. toure shot when patience was exhausted, not patience was needed. when he shot, he shot because patience was getting us nowhere. and his bad passes? messi had bad passes and xavi did as well. keita did NOTHING for 90 minutes. busquets...wow. i mean you talk about bread being buttered on a particular side, please don't even try to hide the fact that your bread is not only buttered on one side, it's also jammed, peanut buttered, and honeyed as well.

Sorry but it is, and one look at your avatar confirms that. It's the same people making the same case for the defence of a particular player time and time again.

and it's also the same people going out of their way to pick on him when he has a merely AVERAGE, not poor, AVERAGE game. two sides to every coin bud. every action has a reaction. i go out of my way to defend yaya when he doesn't play like superman because faster than i can take a piss after the game, members here are calling him woeful and other outrageous things when he played no more poorly than anyone else.

Ever heard of the quote if you don't shoot you don't score? I still cannot see how you can claim a player playing as almost a lone defender underperformed? It's not about me liking Yaya, because it would be like me claiming Puyol was shit 2 years ago in the CL fist leg against United, the fault doesnt lie with him and his performance was completely acceptable.

Yet today the people who were there to make things happen did just as little?

Wasted our patient build up?  Nigga please, now that is having it out for him because we had 86 minutes of patient build up and it got us nowhere, please feel free to argue this point but I really don't see any evidence pointing to it.
