yeah he is indeed one of the most versatile player ever.sigh.
i dont know estel, i prefer busi at dm..he is almost perfect for that role.
so you think that pep wanted masch at dm and busi as a back up for xavi?
where would that leave yaya?

argument fail.

if he had played like that all season we wouldn't be selling him at all.
Read it again; all I'm saying is that we've all seen how well Touré can be on his day, and if some other club can get him to perform like that regularly, then we may regret selling him.

It's no good to sell him after one below par season, but hey, if they want to, whoever he goes to will probably benefit.

Gnegneri hit the nail on the head several million times in this thread.
At the end of the day if Yaya doesnt want to play for us get him out he is not Messi Xavi or even Busquets IMO

eto'o wasn't dropped because he continued to work hard. yaya has looked extremely lazy on several occasions this season.

it's not just that though, is it?

playing poorly is fine (well, not fine but you know what I mean) but when you play poorly and are rightfully dropped, and your agent comes out swinging, insulting players and the boss, then we have a problem.

I mean mino raiola's absolute retardation has been mostly in the off-season and it STILL may have created a wedge to force zlatan out of the club. seluk does his shit in the middle of the season when it's even more disruptive. you can't have a disruptive agent combined with an out of sorts player. especially when there are footballing aspects that support replacing him anyway (as I've said, a more aggressive DM fits pep's collective pressing style more)

People are forgetting that the problem is largely that Yaya wants to leave, not just that the club wants him out. Yaya feels (deservedly so) that he should be playing 90% of games in a season, and its clear that this simply isn't going to happen at Barcelona.

Yaya only ever looked "extremely lazy" in the sec half when games for him were hard to come by. There were times he did well, yet dropped for the next match. In circumstances when even a good performance won't guarantee a starting spot next match, you can see how a player can lose motivation and focus.

Eto'o was rubbish for almost 3 mnths. He did work hard but then hes always been a trier. But despite his poor form, he was not benched. I'd like to see how he'd 've reacted if he were put on the bench for consecutive matches.

**Oh, just got another thought!! Masch was versatile and could play at RB as well

He is RUBBISH at RB. Can pass at pool but not at Barca. Pls stop calling him versatile. Hes not.

exactly. there were a few games where he played more than average but still benched for the next match.
that really gotta take a hell lot of motivation out of any player.

and its not just etoo.
anyone who is benched for a few matches will start getting uneasy.
i hate comparing players but this is not performance related,
remember puyol took a long time to decide whether to renew or not because he wasnt sure whether he was getting minutes...

I'm sure this has been said already, but if Toure leaves we'll need somebody other than Busquets against physical teams.

If we don't have a strong DM we'll just be overpowered by teams like Chelsea and Inter Milan.
