If there ever was a complete player than Yaya would be it.

Although he is very lazy he can play pretty much anywhere in the pitch and when his head is in it he's lethal.

Yaya Toure (Manchester City): "I always watch Barça's games, I'm following Catalan television channels... I can't forget Barça." [rac1]
Yaya Toure (Man City): "Barça is the club of my life and I love the city. It would be wonderful to return, you never know what can happen."
Yaya Toure (Man City): "I want to end my career at Barça. I'll anyway be there soon to visit my brother Abidal."

Maybe he had some problems with Pep (which a lot of 'star' players seem to have who weren't from our cantera) and he wants to come back now Tito's in charge?
Always been a huge fan of Yaya I wouldn't mind seeing him back. Maybe we can play him at cb too?

I always wondered why he didn't stay and be a permanent cb, similar to mascherano is doing now.
He would have been excellent.
Probably did not want to play in defense though.

Some people forgot how his agent was even in 2008/2009 season, that Pep came from his vacation to convince Yaya to stay at Barca and he left for a salary almost as big as Messi's. I love Yaya, but he is a hypocrite..if he would have loved Barca so much he would have remained and fought for the DM post with Busi.
And seeing as he is 29 y.o. now and still has 2 years left on his contract, I don't think Barca will need him at the time..but knowing Yaya, he will probably follow Eto'o in Russia and say he did it because he loves football.

Or maybe he wanted a salary as big as Xavi's..or twice as big as Mascherano's.

One would imagine he'd demand the same sort of wage if he were to return (and city's asking price would surely be massive as Yaya is one of their most important players).

Nice in theory but...no thanks.

You can't take that as a fact. He could still force a move, and City don't really need money now do they. He could pull a Tevez
But as said, if he wants to come back he'll have to force his own move and willing to sign for a lot less than what he's earning now.

I don't begrudge him, as much as I would've loved him to stay...I do agree part of the move stemmed from money no doubt and that too I can't fault an African player aspiring for a payday that will insure peace of mind for him, his family and his charities

Samu's case is different, for me...He has won everything, he has nothing to prove and getting a big paycheck shouldn't be cause for criticism

It'd be a nice final chapter to his career but I'm not too optimistic of a return for Yaya

Really weird this kinda comes out of the blue.

I thought the same thing, actually...But Yaya is savvy too I think...Knowing you're talking to the local press and how they are about the club, it would really resonate...Still, I think he was probably being honest because he's always been emphatic in his praise for the club and what it means to him

Loved reading that but too much emotion these past few weeks with the club already...Miss the Yaya

and mascherano can play DM with yaya playing CB too? this would be dream come true, truly the greatest midfield ever, but I don´t want Keita to leave (which will probably happen)
and he also will want playing time which with Busi playing DM won´t get, but would be brilliant player if Xavi played less

It's not weird..he started giving interviews to the catalan press again after City won the FA Cup last year..I can't imagine why.

Like I said, I love Yaya..but if he would have felt the same about our club he would have stopped his agent from talking shit 2 months after Pep's arrival and until the summer of 2010. Although seeing that he won 6-7 million euros from Yaya's transfer at City, I can't say I'm surprised.

Improvin' Perfection!!
Yaya, and his agent, had problem with Pep for giving preferential treatment to Keita... Now that he's leaving Yaya said he wants to return.

While I do understand why Yaya felt so in the first place... I don't want him back. We don't want them players who go vocal in the public, like babies, every time they have a problem. He can enjoy his riches at City, he's not welcome any more
