Yaya said he would love to return to Barca one day. But there is no-chance of that happening. Especially when you have a giant-douche as an agent.
I wouldn't have him back anyway. Too much money and not hardworking enough. Plus we already have, Busquets, Mascherano and Song in that position.

We need another makeshift CB!

The last thing we need is another makeshift CB. What we desperately DO need is a Proper, Specialist Centre-Back.

We don't need him. As good as Toure is, I don't see him starting over Busquets, and we have Song and Masch as backups. If he's willing to sit on the bench (and he'll most likely need to take a pay cut as well), why not, but I doubt he will be.
Besides, we have other needs (GK, CB).

Toure was an absolute beast for us. Check the polls among fans (some still available here) and see he was actually preferred pick over Busquets. He wasn't even a regular DM before we signed him and yet he made his name as one of the best, if not the best, DM in the world in less than 12 months span.
He even played as CB and very good (remember CL Final)? And that at the same time when beloved Keita publicly refused to play as LB.
How did it end? Pep preferred Busquets and Toure saw it. Having won everything he could he decided to make big bucks with City and I don't blame him.
His agent is a piece of work but his job is to do what's best for his player. If he can sell him again he'll make a nice bonus. It's just business.
