I may be wrong, but I don't think that I replied to your post..also I've done myself a favor and I've read the page 198 again and the discussion was about his salary, his agent, the fact that we have other needs at this moment and that in the present we have the best DM in the world. At that point you came and said:

Toure was an absolute beast for us. Check the polls among fans (some still available here) and see he was actually preferred pick over Busquets. He wasn't even a regular DM before we signed him and yet he made his name as one of the best, if not the best, DM in the world in less than 12 months span.
He even played as CB and very good (remember CL Final)? And that at the same time when beloved Keita publicly refused to play as LB.
How did it end? Pep preferred Busquets and Toure saw it.

Funny that you felt that was pointed to you. Well, maybe not, considering your overall negative and cynical attitude on this forum.
I specifically said "some" and didn't quote anyone's post. On the other hand my post was quoted and dismissed for something you imagined in your mind. Where did I say anything about Yaya's position in City?

You are clearly not reading posts but only looking to grab onto something to be negative and cynical about.

You mentioned that we turned him into one of best DMs in the world which suggests you feel he is one now, which he isn't. And I disagree with what you say. I don't understand how was was best DM in the world. 2007-08 was catastrophe and in 08-09 we was more of a fill in buy the end of it......

I think there was a feeling around that time that we needed a powerhouse destroyer in the middle, which is quite old fashioned now. I mean, what is a defensive midfielder? Someone there to breakup play and protect the defense. Every good team now has players that are good on the ball without their sole purpose being disruption.Us, Bayern, Dortmund, Madrid, Juve.....

Patrick Vieira is no longer needed.

I remember a lot of people compared Busquets to Motta and wanted Yaya in team but they were wrong in Pep's first season. Yaya is good at what he does best; box to box EPL style. But he was back up and, when crazy people are willing to facilitate it, well worth selling for huge profit.

You mean not being good enough to compete with Busi and thus be satisfied with being on the bench. I doubt Song is a better fit. He isn't that great defensively, while Yaya was a DM/CB with us and a pretty good one at that. I'm not saying i want Yaya back, but its quite a claim to say Song is a better fit.

Have you not been impressed by Song when he plays in midfield? The question of whether he plays is up to Tito/Roura. Are you saying Yaya would get in our team other than as an emergency CB?
