he would fill in pretty nicely for xavi imo. xavi already does little to no defensive work, and is too occupied with his pretty possession (which is largely irrelevant nowadays) to be a real strong impact in the centre. xavi's legs are going, and he's never been the strongest player either. he's a midget. his godly retention skills are waning too... if we are to adapt to midfield that is more suitable to the direct style barca have nowadays, yaya could be the perfect option, infatuated with the club, brilliant power from the midfield, and really flawless passing range. he can dictate the game in a different way from xavi, one more relevant to our attack nowadays. he also gives some brute strength to a hopelessly frail and weak bunch of midfielders we have atm.

Toure would be ideal. In a moment that we have zero defensive abilities in our midfield besides Busquets. Toure would bring more balance more power and height to our team. Because he is a box to box player he fits perfectly. Both good in defensive and attacking abilities. He can score some goals as well going forward. Accepting it or not even if Xavi is out of the line up and we play with both Iniesta and Fabregas it's the same case again, no defensive abilities. And surely Fabregas shouldn't play as central midfielder, he only performs as attacking midfielder as it's already proved. I'm not sure about Iniesta taking that role of keeping the tempo but he doesn't have good defensive abilities either. Only one of those 2 should play and that should be for attacking midfielder role. Other than that Toure would bring exactly what we need in the midfield, but can't see it happening unfortunatelly..
