Zlatan Ibrahimovic

He was great yesterday, they could not contain him. He used his strenght to give his teammates the edge. But there was so many great moments (some bad as well) yesterday, so many great one-touch passes.

Clinical penalty- keeper guessed right, but still too much pace and placement to keep it out.

Tbf, it wasn't a hard guess for the keeper because Z often choose the same direction. The thing is that his penalty kicks are so good (in most cases though) that keppers can't reach it anyway.

He has scored like 3 out of 1,000,000 free kicks - please Ibra, just stop taking them!
Anyway, wasn't a great or even good game - I have to admit he's slowly past it.

I don't think it's gonna happen anyway. Probably because Zlatan can't swallow his pride and let someone else be the 1st choice on his free will or his team mates and Hamrén are afraid to tell him that he's shit at free kicks.

Having that said, I think Zlatan did actually a good game last week. Not exactly his fault that Berg fucked up at finishing many times after some good passes from Zlatan (although the latter missed a great goal scoring opportunity once).

It depends on the circumstances, Ibrahimovic was good enough to win it. His quality as a player was high enough. Same with Xavi/Iniesta/Henry/Suarez/Bergkamp and severa others for example.
Owen was just lucky to get it that year.

Really? Then why has he only scored tiny 7 goals in knockout phase in CL for the last 12 years as an example? Not least when Z has played for some of the biggest clubs and was the main man (expect Barca)...

No, he wasn't, and that's the point.
An overrated international failure like him shouldn't rightfully even be considered in Bd'or discussions.
As Cruijff once perfectly said: "strong against weak opponents and weak against strong opponents".
Ballon d'or is already a joke/circus, to even consider someone like Ibrahimovic worth winning it would be the last nail in the coffin.

If I was you, I should be careful to say that Zlatan isn't good against week opponents. The so called Zlatanister (the Swedish word for Zlatan-fanboy/fangirls) will easily counter it to say he scored against Real Madrid, Bayern, Spain and Germany to name a few fairly good teams.

Just a tip :)

Tonights game will be important, might be an end of an era for us. If Sweden lose to Denmark (which most likly will happen) Zlatan might have played his last game for team Sweden, same for a few others. Sure if the next coach (coz Hamrén cant possibly stay) can persuade Zlatan to stay that would be awesome but lets face it Zlatan is getting old for a footballer :p i wish he could play until he was 40.

I'm very afraid that Zlatan will join with U23-team in the Olympics instead if Sweden fail to qualify for Euro 16 tonight. A scenario I don't wanna see at all

But you're right, the play-off game is important. Not least for the Swedish FA-

Dont think Zlatan will join he u23-team unless Håkan Ericsson really really really really want him. But yeah tonights game will settle the fate of Ibrahimovic, Isaksson, Källström and a few others maybe.
