"So @GuillemBalague tells @talkSPORT that Messi gave Barca an ultimatum over keeping Zlatan or him. Imagine Ronaldo had done that...."

Fake for sure, only Ibra fans can believe might be true, because they have not yet accepted the fact that Ibra was discarded because not good enough for Barcelona.
Deal with that.

Makes perfect sense. Also helps explain Guardiola's behaviour, the formation change, and his huge drop in form. It was all about keeping Messi happy.

Not that barcelona fans would understand this. In your world Messi is a perfect humble angel, as proven by the fact every negative article or debate either gets deleted or is proclaimed "fake" before anyone has any facts.

why would you assume the opposite? what proof do you have other than "makes perfect sense". Wait till there are some facts at least

This is not the first time things of this nature has been reported. There was multiple reports that Messi didn't want to pass Ibra the ball, and truth be told you could see that on the pitch. Furthermore, Apparently Messi sent a text to Guardiola saying "I can see i'm not needed anymore".

Like, I said it makes sense. You know what doesn't make sense? That an intelligent coach buys a complete player for almost 70 million, lets him play his game for the first six months, in which Barca broke a points record, and then all of a sudden asks him to play like a normal striker, severaly minimizing his impact. He'd have to be a moron to either buy Ibra and know nothing about him, which is very unlikely, or an idiot to make him switch his style of play midseason unless he had a very good reason for it. You don't do that, especially not to one of your most consistent and productive players, and definitly not to someone who cost 70 million euro.

I guess you could argue Barcelona played better without Ibra, because there was more trashings but fact of the matter is everytime he got subbed off Barca played worse, and everytime he got subbed on you played better, with the exception of second leg against Inter.

This just makes sense to me. However, we can just agree to disagree. Who knows what really happened. Doesn't matter now anyway. Barca moved on, and Ibra moved on. And that's that.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was true to be honest, it would explain a hell of a lot.

we break points records and titles because of the team we have. We did it before Ibra and we are doing it now without him. This generation as a whole is just that good. Don't try to imply Ibra had a bigger impact than Messi, Xavi, Iniesta or some others. He is an amazing player but don't push it.
Reports like those come every day not just in football because people like gossips. Usually they end up nowhere other than just being rumours that some people like to believe because it fit their agendas and "makes sense" to them. Pep mistake was to believe Ibra could deal with not being the focal point. We overpayed because Eto'o left us and Madrid just made a huge investment. It was a panic buy. Ibra was not crucial to our success, we won another CL and liga. It's not like if Ibra was shining and we just decided to sell him out of a simple desire expressed by Messi. Ibra scored may goals in the first half of the season but that's hardly impressive, considering the opposition and how our midfield fed him. It's clear Messi is way more productive than Ibra, so it's only natural Ibra was displaced to a lower importance(like Villa). His contract did not say he should be the focal point of our team. Barca keeps making history with that formula. His talent was wasted though and no matter what he did, he just cannot match Messi's talent. He got mad and sad and behaved like a jackass with the coach, even threatening him so he had to go. Simple as. It was Pep's fault in trying to make Zlatan a humble guy abd Zlatan's advisors fault too, since he was bound to be eclipsed by Messi. He only lost half a season though, Barca lost millions

Im sorry, but you really have to lower your level of stupid. What you are describing is a scenario where Messi did say this to Pep, and Pep choose Messi.

You always want to believe everyone in the team behaves like CR or "yourself" according to your own words

Nah, if that story is true then that is not a way I would behave. I would go and talk to the coach face t face.

Exaclty, Ibra moved on = Inter won the CL, Ibra moved on = Barca won the CL.

For me is a fake, but i hope that Messi gave the ultimatum, i would respect him even more:party1:

It was simply ridiculous to see Ibra play for Barca, a fish out of water. He was literally ridiculed by Messi:lol:. He wanted to be the best between players like Messi, Iniesta, Xavi,... he wanted to be the star:lol:.... go home Ibra, even with Bojan we played better.

As said, whether you like it or not, Ibra not good enough for Barca. Deal with that

You're not even a real journalism
I wouldn't put it pas Messi, as he comes across very fake/sneaky & probably saw Ibra taking the limelight from him. But it's finished now & Messi was probably proved right that he should play through the middle in the end.

Still can't stand Messi's character though.

The thing that makes it unlikely to be true imo is that even if he told pep, messi would know that sooner or later ibra would find out unless he specificly asked pep not to tell ibra. So if he knew ibra was gonna find out why not tell ibra himself? Cant imagine messi thought it would be any easier to face ibra after pep told him the scenario than to just tell ibra about the situation himself face to face? If ibra knew we would have known allrdy considering ibra tells it like he sees it with little regard to what could come from it (or he writes a book about it..)

which leaves 2 options.

1. Pep agreed not to tell ibra about the ultimatum
2. There never was an ultimatum.

2 seem alot more plausible so hopefully it just never happened.

MagIX you seem.. young.

I've read Ibra's autobiography. He says he thought Messi was a cool guy. If there really was an ultimatum, Ibra would probably have come to know about it eventually in which case he would probably write something negative about Messi. I think he just had a beef with Pep and that's it. He didn't like the "schoolboy" way of things at Barca, atleast according to the book.
