It's still in schedule to be fully completed by the end of 2026.

The truth is that it was never likely it would be partially reopened this season.

The club waffles a lot.

I don't buy that one bit tbh. I know from people that built houses that interior work takes a lot of time also. Maybe if they open it while not being fully done and work at it while allowing fans in.

I think two more years is a minimum until operational at full capacity. In the most optimistic scenario.

Tbf, every club has unrealistic expectations, Real Madrid expected the works at the Bernabeu to be fully completed by December 2022. Only for it to fully be completed by June 2024.

I'm really interested to see if the Barca disease of burning managers after 3 seasons max hurts Flick as well. After 3 seasons players will lose the intensity and then what?

Considering his age and Bayern experience, 3 years will be a good guess.

If laporta says 2026, it will be 2026.

Name 1 time laporta has ever lied? Just once.

2029,
2026.

Clearly it was just a typo by the great man.

Everyone is a great leader in times of prosperity (even Barto the rat managed a treble)

But only true leaders are great in times of adversity

Laporta delivered in Barca’s toughest time in the last 30-40ish years.

Sounds like Crowe, our auditor is refusing to include the 100m sale of the VIP boxes in the accounts for this year. They've told the club that the options are either to divide the fees between the 30 years of the lease, or to only account the €58m in fees that has already been received this season.
Which would mean a shortfall of 42m in Salary Cap calculations at the minimum and more La Liga FFP problems this summer affecting what we can do signings-wise.

We have until the end of this month to solve this as all La Liga clubs have to provide the documents by March 31.

Makes sense tbh.

No car crashes here now Don Laporta is at the wheel.

Only minor speed bumps.

The journey was never going to be a smooth one, but Laporta always brought us safely to our destination.

Not worried about this new accounting issue because Laporta will find a way :bartomeu:
