My argument is that the team would be considerably stronger with budget to sign top players over the talents we already have. Which is pretty much something no sane person would argue against.

Was said time and agains the players coming through and developing were worth more than just about any other club were taking in for all that money.

Xavi is an excuse driven negative lad who got punted for it and proven wrong.

I agree, although back then, I was Pro-Xavi and agreed with anything he said but now after around 10 months, he was so wrong in saying we will try to compete, that has to be one of the worst things ever said by a Barcelona coach.

The sacking of a legend with such a high status in the club and amongst the fans, like Xavi, and replacing him with a manger who had only really had a decent few months in football management, will go down as one of the bravest and most astute decisions in the history of this, or any other football club.

Laporta is a face to face kind of guy more than data. He was probably sold on Flick talking to him. His seriousness and focus that he could make this work.

I'm curious to see how Flick manages the youth players this summer actually.

Coming in fresh he could assess the talents without biases and give pre-seasons to alot of players on a clean slate.

Does he show the same kind of passion this summer? Will he be as open minded and give as many opportunities or does he double down on the select names he eyed last summer (Dom, Quim, Toni) while pushing for signings.

I don't wanna think about this yet, we are living through the best run of form in 9 years, it is still too early to think about his departure.

Let's see. There's a 2 year delay almost until it's partially reopened. Let's add same delay for the 2nd part of the works to be safe. Would mean august 2030.

If it's fully oepened at full capacity for 2027-28 season, that's a massive feat.

The truth is that it was never likely it would be partially reopened this season.
