Sorloth was getting the better of Curbasi and moving Inigo out of position too with his runs

Watch the 2-1 loss at Montjuic and the 4-4 of the 1st leg, each time Sorloth came on, Curbasi struggled.

Flick is a practical coach. I saw that change in the 4-2 win before the international break . As soon as Sorloth was introduced at the beginning of the second half yesterday, I knew that change was imminent. Few minutes later, Araujo began warming up. It was so obvious.

It was more of giving up control for neutralising an increased threat. Garcia was introduced to help with the build up play(even if he did a poor job at it) while Araujo concentrated on closing down on the threat. It is a chess game tactic, you dont go chasing down your opponents pawns when your king is under check.

Araujo was obviously brought on to help with aerial threat.. as Atletico would play Sorloth off Cubarsi and look for De Paul to pull right and put balls up for him otherwise.

Cubarsi was also looking a bit tired like the rest of the team and Atleti were getting ball forward more.

Completely different from Flick putting on Araujo to go with 'man marking' set up which he absolutely did not do and closing down Alvarez or picking up Sorloth in his area doesnt change that.
