The speed this match is played at is incredible. It's been full intensity sprinting for both sides for pretty much the entire half, up and down, hardly any stops in play.

Don't want to be dismissive but it was allegedly said 3 months ago. Surely taking revenge this far down the line is a bit odd. Think Baena deserves to give his version of events before we judge anyone for what happened.

Fear is not why they won that CL last year. It was two players : Benzema converting every single tiny chance that came his way and Courtois saving almost every shot. That CL is not repeatable... Those two were playing at all time legendary levels and probably won't happen again.

Tbh, whenever I watch Villarreal, they look like a very solid and organised team. Positionally great and always try to play football. The results haven't been going their way recently but they look like a good footballing team.

I think a ref would be hesitant to give a red seeing he won the ball, but it's a dangerous tackle.

Copa is something, but it's a second tier trophy. Ultimately CL, then LL/league, are the two top priorities for any top team.

He will become one of the best LBs in the world if he stays at that position. He is perfectly suited for that role. As a midfielder he doesn't give a high level and I imagine soon he will be converted full-time to left back.
