You're welcome
Arsène Wenger, Sky Sports analyst, after Barcelona's 3-0 loss in the Joan Gamper Cup: "I believe that Barcelona has had a clear problem for a long time, and that problem is Ter Stegen. Monaco took three shots today at Barcelona’s goal, and two of them went in. The bigger issue isn't just the goals, but the fact that Ter Stegen’s way of saving shots is laughable and primitive. He raises his hand every time as if he’s waving, which is unbelievable. I think Ter Stegen is a great goalkeeper when it comes to one-on-one situations, but he is poor at dealing with both long-range and close-range shots. He is not the kind of goalkeeper you can rely on. If Barcelona wants to succeed, I believe they need to sign a better goalkeeper.''

Would like to believe you but no way he “analyzed” the Joan freaking Gamper game.

Do better.

Masetro10, Barcaforum analyst, after Barcelona's 3-0 loss in the Joan Gamper Cup: "I believe that Barcelona has had a clear problem for a long time, and that problem is Ter Trashcan. Monaco took 6 shots today at Barcelona’s goal, and 3 of them went in. The bigger issue isn't just the goals, but the fact that Ter Stegen’s way of saving shots is ass and he can't even pass correctly anymore. He raises his hand every time as if he’s waving, which is the usual. I think Ter Stegen is a trash goalkeeper when it comes to one-on-one situations, but he is worse than useless at dealing with both long-range and close-range shots. He is not the kind of goalkeeper you can rely on. If Barcelona wants to succeed, I believe they need to sign a better goalkeeper.''

Man, the guy looked like he would become the GOAT under Enrique. I was so stocked to finally have a class Goalkeeper let alone a decent one.
God, he regressed so much. Like if he just stayed at the same level we wouldn't have complained, but he has actually regressed.
The guy used to be amazing as a sweeper, but now he looks like Valdes when goes for his sweeping duties. He makes so many errors now.
And his shot-stopping seems to be atrocious.

He never looked like he was gonna be GOAT under Enrique.
STOP.
Enrique knew BRAVO was a lot better.
Enough said.

Valdes disrespect.. STOP

Bro Valdes is a legend. We all know that, and we all agree. But you cannot say his sweeping ability at the later stage of his game was any good. He looked so error-prone.
Terrorists's one of the biggest factors was his sweeping ability.
Bro, he was amazing under LE, yes definitely Bravo was a tad better arguably, but the terrorist was young and he had amazing moments. He definitely looked like a world-beater.
If Bravo was so good, why did the club let him go, and all the fans were OK with him leaving? It was because the fans and the club saw terrorist as equal to or better than Bravo.
And given his age and the number of years he can play, everyone thought at that time he could be the GOAT.

You have hindsight right now. But none of us would have imagined back then the guy would be our main problem in the coming years.

Brother i am telling you TER STEGEN has been ass since the start.
I been saying it.
Since the season we won the UCL where he was starting.

The bayern tie is when i realized he was ass.
All the goals were savable.
We won. people forgot.

Go watch it,

went back and watched. Couldve stopped first and third. Second by lewandowski was too close and well placed far right side. He did freeze.

He used to play only cups. So we fans maybe didn't notice.
Fault of the management not playing him frequently so his errors were more visible.

As I said, go back in this thread and see the sentiment. People were generally fine with him as our only keeper when Bravo was supposed to leave.
Most rated Bravo as the better shot-stopper. But not as good for Sweeping and Distribution.

Ya.
Folks here used to defend him saying "he should have saved, but it should have never come to him" or something similar excuses. And you can say it was valid at that time, he was young, and he had time on his hands.
Only in recent years, we have stopped giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah that sums it up. Because I remember he started getting under scrutiny pretty early on. Was it his 2nd season already when he had that stinker against Celta? But could have been from peeps that didn’t like Bravo leaving.

But yeah, not as much detractors back then since was put into perspective due to being young. Later on he got excused cause other positions deemed priority(until this day, and do agree with this)

There was also one very vocal supporter of his here that I do miss. @god_serena. He did a good job defending him over bravo but think even he has given in ultimately.
