Initially it looked as the goal was all on MatS but I understand him complaining about Suarez not blocking that cross. In these situations it's down to the player present in that angle to header the ball. It caught MatS by surprise.

Mathieu the bigger villain. Suarez let it go. Mathieu ensured Papadolpolous scored by ducking for some reason. Scared of the ball?

Goals was mostly MATS fault. Mathieu and Suarez played their part but you have to consider that it is the goalie who must have control over his players in the 6 yard box. A Goalie must not concede a goal in this area from crosses, especially on a set piece like a corner.

Yip very true thus another mistake. I await the usual moaning from those who make excuses for him. Bravo has to play against sevilla

Partly his fault but what was Mathieu doing?
Mats is going through a tough phase. He hasn't had much luck,he's made some errors and our defence is all over the place.

Things that go unnoticed. His distribution helped a lot to deal with Bayer's pressure.

It's hardly worse than the moaning from those who use every excuse they can to complain about him.

Either way, the pundits (both retired players of course) on my national channel both agreed that the blame was on Mathieu, and Mathieu alone.

The level of scrutiny and criticism being thrust upon MAtS is reaching a level of absurdity. It really must stop, it does no one any favors and only causes problems.

Mathieu was tasked to cover Papadopoulus who was standing near post and failed miserably. This is no one's blame but Mathieu's.

Too bad you don't offer much of an argument why it's so clueless.

Ter Stegen is having a terrible season. They said he needed game time, he's had it. Yet the mistakes keep coming. Barca is not for players to learn. It's for the best.

Nonsense.
By that logic we should have offloaded Valdes many years ago, as he was way more prone to blunders than MatS is. Do I need to remind you that he went on to become the most valuable and decorated keeper in the history of our club?

Yeah, you're right. Let's let him make blunder after blunder until in 5 seasons he's an awesome keeper. Bravo is the better player, leave CDR for Mats.
