Liverpool and other interested parties might not want a loan, they probably want to buy him outright.

Does anyone know what his buy-out is?

If I understood Zubizarreta correctly he said that you signed him for €12M and that his opt out was €80M.
He said that during the press conference introducing MATS.

Anyways, get as much as possible for him(if you do sell him) cause Gladbach would participate by a nice margin. :p

He's not going anywhere

You can't be too sure of that. He's relatively young compared to Bravo, but he's at an age where he needs much more game time than he's currently getting. Since Bravo could possibly carry on playing like this for another 2-3 years or so, MATS will need to think long and hard about staying here. Especially since Lucho may decide to go the single-keeper route in the near future. He needs to be in a team where he gets the #1 tag from the go. If that means going to a "lesser team", then I don't think he'll mind too much.

Let's hope he doesnt leave. The last thing we need is to increase the average age of our squad even further by offloading the players in their early prime age.

The ONLY way he leaves even for loan is if Barcelona can gain a solid back-up for Bravo until. Until then, he's staying. That's why I doubt he'll go out on loan this season.

Although it must be stated, the only reason Mats is in double digit appearances is because Bravo got injured and he can obviously recognize this. The actual spread would be more like Bravo 19/20, Stegen 7/8. That imbalance will only continue to grow as we play more and more games.

And the only reason Bravo played at the beginning of last season was because MAtS was injured.

And MATS would probably have played the CWC in the case that Bravo had not been injured.

Bravo was brought in as Lucho's #1. Claims that he'd have started ahead of Bravo if it hadn't been for his injury are purely speculation.

And the CWC is two games compared to the 4 or 5 games Bravo missed.

Im totally fine with us pulling a courtois with Mats. Just loan him out to say Liverpool for 2 seasons, get a back up goalie like for example Willy.
Everybody wins in that scenario.

Only this. Ter Stegen is too good to sell imo.
Loan and we get him back in two years.

I am worried that we end up with a Chelsea or Milan situation with too many older players and no good young ones coming through.
