That'd be quite a ruse. If he's lying to get sold, then sell him. But I don't believe that. Lucho wouldn't accept that.

It would deflect attention, that's for sure. I was merely pointing out that a photo of him icing down isn't really the same thing as conclusive evidence of having an injury, even a short term one

The timing of the seemingly distinct events could simply be random chance, this is true but it all fits together a bit too conveniently as well

If they've really signed him why are they going to wait a couple of weeks to announce it? That's basically the end of the transfer window, we wouldn't be able to find a replacement.

I'm not following you here. He has seemed quite upbeat about the upcoming season with Barca, whilst also welcoming the new players since his return from vacation. Even the recent message is suggestive of a player who wants to return to action asap. Lying about his injury when he has a shot at another trophy whilst also laying claim at Barca's#1, doesn't sound reasonable. If there was a indeed a motive to leave, it can all be done whilst still being part of the squad.

I'm reading that this guy was also the first to break the news about Sane's injury. He is no rookie.
But for him to "Break" the Ter Stegen news before any established Catalan Journalist? Seems Legit.

if this move had happened we would've heard about it a lot earlier.

Selling him would be a disaster

Who do we replace him with, a GK that can play so well with his feet and yet make saves?

And imagine Bravo starts playing bad as he's aging, and who do we have in his place? masip?
with that height?

That's not the kind of world i wanna live in

I wouldn't mind losing Bravo

But losing MatS will be disappointing and its repercussions will linger us for atleast 10 years

If City want to pay his release clause then I'm great with this. Sure, I hope he stays because he is our future between the sticks, but that money is too much to not take for a guy that hasnt been our starter.

"We've signed Ter Stegen, lets announce him in a couple weeks because reasons"
Makes perfect sense, its not like the season is starting.

I'd certainly consider it stupid to leave for a CL caliber club that'd give him every competition, too. He just has to be patient for 1 more year! Maybe 2! Maybe 3...

Has it been decided and communicated that he will definitely be the back up keeper this season by Luis Enrique?

I'm so sad to hear this news, as I am worrying about Bravo - his performance in both last season and Copa America Centenario was not as good as that of first season.
Ter Stegen's performances in last season's La Liga wasn't good, but he's still young and talented.

Lol at those of you who think we can get the full price out of him. IF he does indeed leave, it will be about €25 - 30 mil max

You also don't want to give the impression that you'll be a problem when everything you do is heavily scrutinized today, whether you want to stay or go. I wasn't inclined to think he was unsettled before, perhaps unhappy with the rotation system employed by Lucho but the timing of the situation with Hart is odd. Like I said before, it's very possible it may just be happenstance but sometimes these transfers happen when things line up like this
