It can.
Leverkusen - Barcelona: 4 shots on target, 1 goal conceded
Barcelona - Leverkusen: 1 shot on target, 1 goal conceded
Milan - Barcelona: 3 shots on target, 0 goals conceded
Barcelona - Milan: 1 shot on target, 1 goal conceded
Chelsea - Barca: 1 shot on target, 1 goal conceded
Barca - Chelsea: 3 shots on target, 2 goals conceded
So overall in the knockout rounds of this year's Champions League campain Valdes has conceded 6 goals from 13 shots on target. But the most amazing thing while searching up those statistics is: how did Leverkusen manage 5 shots on target, more than Milan and Chelsea?
Edit:
Hilarious. From last season:
Barcelona - Manchester United: 1 shot on target, 1 goal conceded
Barcelona - Real Madrid: 1 shot on target, 1 goal conceded
Barcelona - Shakhtar Donetsk: 1 shot on target, 1 goal conceded
Barcelona - Arsenal: 0 shots on target, 1 goal conceded
:valdes:
In many of those games(except the recent ones) he is one of the reason for which we concede so few shots..nobody will remember the fuck-ups that Dani Alves had against Shakhtar and how VV even injured himself at his knee trying to save us, or how at 0-0 in the CL final last year VV made a crucial save in front of Rooney and at 1-1 in Leverkusen it was more of the same think or how the goal that Pedro scored against RM in CL began from VV..not to mention his performances against Chelsea in 2009 or against Arsenal in 2006.
What people don't understand about a Barca GK is that he has to be a GK and a CB at the same time and even if we concede so few shots, most of them are in dangerous situations, with VV alone in front of the other team's player. But if we want to judge our players after the last 3 games, then we should sell more then half of them(starting with Dani and Xavi).
