I don't mind if he stays for another season. It's gonna cost way more replacing him than what can be gained from selling him. There are other positions which are the priorities this summer rather than GK.

Don't you think we as fans deserve respect too? He just randomly announces he's leaving without speaking a word and he's the one that deserves respect right now?

Look, technically he said he will not renew his contract which isn't up till next year.

VV has given the club a whole year to find a replacement.

IMO we should sell him now and get some money for him rather than keep a player when he doesn't want to be here.

He should leave ASAP. He'll get a proper farewell party and be thanked for everything he gave for the club. Been a hero and has a big share in most of the recent triumphs the club had.

Now let's move on and look for a replacement.

I agree. I don't think it is good for the squad to have a wantaway hanging around. Only people 100% committed.

Point is, he shouldn't have brought "respect" into this. It has nothing to do with my respect towards Valdés as a player when I say I'm glad we will sell him after this season. I just don't see the benefit of keeping a player who he said he won't renew.
