1 - Victor Valdes

I don't even think he cares about CL too much anymore. If he did, he could stay at Barca. Probably indeed the money, and very little pressure.

Often a thankless position at the club, Victor has been the subject of an enormous amount of ridicule...for years...He's earned the right to choose his own path, even if it leads him abroad...Valdes deserves the fan's respect and because he's a champion, will triumph wherever he goes

Probably played a part in his decision as well. A shame really, but one just has to look forward.

Monaco is stress free living. Some more points is that its tax free , they will be in CL and they don't have big media pressure

Neuer who has 200+ less official games than Valdes has made more BIG mistakes than Valdes in his career. I can name 6+ big mistakes in the last 2-3 seasons.
Yet he never get criticized, people don't can't as if he's shit! Infact a lot consider him the best in the world :)

Valdes between 2008 and 2011 was a top 3 Gk! he underperformed in the last 2 seasons, but he's back to his best now.

This, its amazing the stick that he gets despite how good he's been since Guardiola took the job. Whoever replaces him is going to have a hell of a job on their hands. Please be Cortouis.

Another clean sheet by Valdes, he is now 3rd on the all time list and has by far the best clean sheets to games ratio of all GK in la liga history with atleast 200 games played.

1. Zubizarreta....622...235...37% clean sheets
2. Paco Buyo......542...213...39% clean sheets
3. Victor Valdes..370...165...44% clean sheets
4. Iker Casillas...476...165...34% clean sheets
5. Cañizares......420...164...39% clean sheets
..............................................................
6. Esnaola.......469....156....33% clean sheets

Unless Casillas move from RM ,he will probably get the 3rd spot next year ,though he may leave too which is gonna be weird to see the Classico w/o those 2 after being no 1 for both teams for over a decade

He's going to make my top 3 man of the match ranking. What saves off Ronaldo, Khedira, Di Maria. Too bad Jese goal trickled in but we owe him alot of credit for the classico victory!

So close on a well deserved clean sheet. He saved the 3 points multiple times. He's forcing each and every cule to have a good memory of him when he leaves.

Impressive game once again by Valdés, could've done better with that Jesé shot but he made so many decisive saves before that.
