Pinto's confidence should have skyrocketed after yesterday's gorgeous save. Pep should put him in against Bilbao. Now there is no reason he shouldn't.

And if Pep names Pinto for this match, which should be one of the easiest this season, I think he may be in for a long 1st team run.

Don't forget the cantera argument.

I bet the board is extremely proud of having players in every position on the field from the own cantera.

You got Puyol - Pique in defence, Xavi - Iniesta on midfield and Messi (- Bojan) in attack. If valdes wasn't cantera, he was kicked already for sure.

Then again, is buying another keeper better? World's best Casillas wasn't performing strong in the first half of this season e?

I am aware of the Cantera angle. And there`s another one. Why even try 33 y.o. Pitno whose contract runs out in a year when we have Valdes as our designated long term solution.
Still.... How do I put this? In maritime words, I think that the water has reached our ears and we should try anyone who seems confident between the posts. Heck I`d even support Jokequera if he showed some solid displays.

I don't think Pep will start Pinto, it'll shatter Valdes' confidence which he seriously needs right now.

I think vv's confidence is already shattered.

The unfortunate thing is that the crowd booed vv right after he gave the ball to de la puta. I mean..our strikers missed numerous opportunities but the crowd didnt boo them. It was unfair to boo vv after one mistake. Our game plan is based on our strikers scoring goals first to make it easier on our defence..our strikers let us down just as much as vv did..so i dont understand the double standards.

I think booing vv broke his confidence alot. Although no matter how it happened..the fact is he is clearly very bad right now and needs some time off.

I agree to you about that maz, but the confidence and great work Pinto showed us against Mallorca was amazing and should be rewarded by a chance in this league game

Didn`t look confident at the start but also didn`t have much to do. Hopefully the trust Pep has shown him will rub off positively

That's the price you pay when you're on a super attacking team. You don't get to touch the ball much and have to still stay on guard the whole time. Definitely tough.

All of a sudden a ball zooms past you out of no where, which has been the case this season.

I still stand behind Valdes, but Pitno deserved the chance. I hope there`s no double criteria in Barca locker room
