Looks like he was able to switch directions more quickly, movement that puts more lateral stress on the knees, which he seems to be avoiding now. Fucked up his surgeon fucked up his original operation.

These days he just gets the ball, paces it back and makes a run.

He's one, let's see what happens if he gets through this season uninjured.

I don't see any moves in the vid that he doesn't have now.
The compilation doesn't show explosiveness tho, only tight space footwork

IMO the biggest difference is in his confidence.
Ansu was fearless infront of the goal and a killer. You would give him half a chance, he would kill the keeper with a perfect shot.

That's not an injury-related trait. It's all confidence

Hits that first time low into the left corner a few years back. Goalie stays rooted.

In a way it's good, shows that the majority of his problem is mental.
