I'm not mad because Uruguay are losing, I'm just mad that people say things like "messi sends argentina to the wc" when he's been a crock of shit, have you even seen the goal? it was all about Veron's shot.

I never said that you said Messi scored, I said I hate it when people say "messi sends argentina to the wc" Which is in one of your posts, when I said it was all about Veron's shot, I meant it was him that shot which led to the goal (where bolatti scored) Messi may have given the ball to Veron, but it was a simple pass, and he won't even get an assist, so his contribution was negligible. Hell, even Tevez could have made that pass.

to be honest, it was a joint effort from leo and veron. you saw them plan the FK beforehand, and then when veron walked away uruguay didn't twig and they executed. veron's shot fell kindly for that chap who did well to control the ball and slot it home.

all three guys deserve big credit, as does jonas for refusing to give up and making a retard out of caceres thrice in 10 seconds.

I think Argentina will go out in the groups. That's my big prediction. I think thye'll get a difficult European team, a fast African team and a tricky Asian team and they'll end up finishing 3rd.

what do you base this on?

some great passes in the first half and some decent dribbles and control as well. they started fouling him repeatedly in the second half and he got frustrated, but he still had some nice touches and runs to take us forward. probably should have done better on that shot after dani's backheel, but he did well to head it to zlatan for the chance that hit the bar.

if we take 5 to mean an okay performance, I'd give him a 6, maybe a 6.5. he was lively and created opportunities, but didn't manage to have an effect on the scoreboard.

Don't know what you were watching Beast, I'd say a 7 would be about right. He was our biggest threat and we were far more dangerous when he had the ball. Iniesta was off his game, Pedro was wasteful, Ibra played well but was isolated at times. He played some fantastic balls through on many occasions throughout the game which were either wasted or cut out brilliantly. But clearly that's only worth a 5.
