Looks like your assessment of the player is based on his lone Barca season, not his career so far.

Ronaldo's athleticism(pace, energy), predatory instincts, off-ball anticipation, finishing (also as an aerial threat), the desire to perform at every level and circumstances even if for mere personal glory is what makes him such an unstoppable force. On the ball, however, Zlatan is superior. His vision, technique, reading of the game, passing is a notch above. And it's precisely y he was able to play as our midfielder in the CWC. And it's also y he can do this when he wants to. It's his indifference, and inconsistency on the big occasion that has failed him. In pure footballing terms, Ibra > Ronaldo.

Zlatan is a playmaking forward. Ronaldo is a winger-poacher.

Watching that video makes me want to :banghead:

If it wasnt for his personality he could have been a brilliant player for Barca... View attachment 5811

fixed :)

Messi has 2359 passes in La Liga.

I think Messi didn't lose so many balls, and his passing is better. For Xavi it is easy, because he has a lot of place, and there aren't so many players from the opponent, who want stop him. Everybody wants Messi to stop. Xavi doesn't make any risks. He hasa lot of passes which is easy to make

It isn't really as clear cut as that. Xavi plays deeper and is able to keep the ball moving and control the tempo of the entire game, switch the play and bring the wide players in. Opponents do occasionally try to put a man on Xavi to stop the build up of play, its a credit to him that he still sees so much of the ball and rarely loses it.

Yes Agreed ! Also lets not forget that these stats are working around total figures not averages. but anyhow its always the job of the midfield especially AMF to control more of the ball and pass more of the ball. The fact that Messi competes in passing amount with these guys is incredible and shows exactly why many consider him to be playing a position which the Football world rarely gets to see. Not just a false 9 but an AMF, Wings and tracks back to start at central midfield,

to be frank we all might argue who is the best player of all time since its simply uncomputable ( if i may ), but if were talking about the most "Valuable player" as in the NBA, Leo is at the very top of the pyramid looking down on Maradona, Pele, Cruyff and Di stefano not saying the best ( tastes, eras etc make it hard to judge ) only speaking about effectiveness along with some of the wow factor ofc.
