U said give him his freedom which by return means altering the system ,instead of a target man getting the service he will switch to the flanks and try to do it all on his own

Lionel Messi urges Cesc Fabregas to quit Arsenal for Barcelona
Time has come for Fab to head home, claims Argentine.

Barcelona ace Lionel Messi has urged Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas to come and join him at the Camp Nou and become the "greatest midfield player in the world".

The Gunner has long been linked with a move back to the Catalan club and, speaking to the Sunday People, Messi has now joined the debate by telling the young Spaniard to head back to his homeland.

"Everybody at Barcelona knows about Cesc Fabregas,” he admitted.

"He is one of the greatest midfield players in the world and the sort of player who would suit the Barcelona style of football.

"If he chooses to leave Arsenal I am sure it would be for Barcelona. And, if there is any doubt, I would like to say to him this is the best football club in the world - and if he came here I am sure he would become the greatest midfield player in the world within three years.

"If he came now he could learn off players like Andres [Iniesta] and Xavi, who are the best central midfield pairing in the world.

"At Arsenal he is the main guy, but he knows how much he can learn from Andres and Xavi, and I know that they would both love to have him.

"If he does decide to leave this summer, I think it is time for him to finally come home."

Despite the near-constant speculation Fabregas has always insisted he is happy in north London but Messi warned that the midfielder needed to be winning trophies and that may mean finally leaving the Emirates.

He added: “I understand that Arsenal means a lot to Cesc.

"But there comes a point in your life when you have to think about winning the biggest prizes in football, and I think it has got to that point for him.

"He has given Arsenal great service, but he should be winning league titles and European Cups.

"I played with him for the youth team at Barcelona and you could tell he was a special player - he had great vision and passing range even then."

DISGRACEFUL

Yet another blatant attempt by Barcelona to tap up Cesc. You guys should feel ashamed about your clubs disgusting and disrespectful behavior. Yet another Barcelona player trying to unsettle Cesc. You will never see the players or chairmen of English clubs using the media to unsettle players.

It's about time for Platini and Blatter to punish Barcelona and also Real Madrid

Yes everyone was saying that Barca should get Cexc partgas last night when Barca draw a point.. the guy isn't superman he can't lose a game in the EPL and come and contribute to Barca defeat at the same day

No. I said that "the loss of Messi maybe gives him his freedom up front". That is not the same as "give Zlatan his freedom".

Que ? it's the same .. care to explain ?
I'll try:

The system will be the same as it has been under Pep, he won't change that. I was afraid that Zlatan would be too much of an ego bastard to play the passing game. When Zlatan came, it was also made very clear by the club that Messi was the player of Barcelona.

Zlatan is proving that he isn't that much of an ego if he wants to. He is different from Inter days, he is giving passes and barely takes a shot on target. Moreover, I have the feeling that he is always searching to pass to Messi. Not once, not twice but three times checking that possibility before going for own success (even when the latter choice would have been way better and easier) I feel this somehow limits zlatan's personal abilities (he has a hard shot, he can dribble, ...) although it is all working out fairly decent statistically. He is doing too well what I was afraid he would be doing badly. :D

Now that Messi won't be next to him, it will release him from Messi's burden. He won't be searching to play Messi for the sake of it. Like it is with Pedro, if ther eis an opportunity to pass, Zlatan will pass. But otherwise he'll try something else/himself. So with Messi out, this maybe gives him more freedom up front.

That is not the same as changing the system just to suit Zlatan's abilities.

if he is indeed fit for these next two games, we should play him and then give him a week off (from games, training, everything) afterwards. bring him back for the dynamo game or maybe even the espanyol one.
