His passing has been fantastic lately, he seems to weigh every ball perfectly no matter what the distance.

Yes, the weight of his passes is just right, it is a thing of beauty. The ball goes to where the attacker should be, delivered in the manner needed for the receiver to be able to take maximum advantage. And Messi goes to where he should be for the return pass. Between all three forwards, the interplay is magical these days.

Is Messi still getting married over the break? I hope the team leaves him off the squad for the Copa leg on the 22nd, so he can extend his time in Argentina for a few more days. Any rest he can get in less important games before CL resumes will pay off when he is really needed for all the big games later.

2 days ago it was 10 years since Messi signed his first contract with Barca.
Messi's father was in a restaurant with Rexach and threatened if Messi is not signed they would fly back to Argentina. Rexach called a waiter and signed a contract on a napkin.
It went something like: "As sporting director of the club, I guarantee that the club will assume all responsibility for the Messi family if they come to live in Barcelona and the kid joins the club."
