I love how they say at the end that with 85 goals so far, he'll have more opportunities to top Muller's record, as FIFA is unlikely to rectify the counting mistake from 85 to 84.... while the entire world has already read about Messi scoring 86 and breaking the record.

Last season we got very little penalties in the first half of the season but a handful in the second half which inflated Mess's tally.
Your theory depends on the same thing happening this season.

Yeah maybe, maybe not. We will never know what might had happend if he didn't got those penalties, maybe that would have made the team press some more, making Leo score ?

He had 28 or 29 last season before January. He has 30 now with 3 matches left. How many goals do you think he will get? I am guessing somewhere between 75 and 85. I expect him to be even more motivated in the Champions League as he is still angry about the loss to Chelsea.
