If he didn't stay 'far from goal' we would not have scored or created so many opportunities. I only counted 2 bad passes, the rest were precise especially given that he was constantly hacked by Alonso or some other cunt, Arbeloa or someone.

Good game give him some breathing space. Lots of dribbles marked by 4-5 players and one assist to Cesc. Tristiano on the other hand was no where to be found.

Against smaller teams, Iniesta at the leftside works but not here. Everytime, we were pushing forward everyone was standing in the middle, no one at the flanks. We are limiting space for ourselves, I would like to play again with 2 real wingers and see what it brings cause this isn't working. We do and with love comes the reason we are able to tell him when he has been awesome or when he was poor. I felt he played well and create some of our attacks, but I feel Tito needs to instruct him to play more up front at times. His pace would get him in at times when Madrids back line got pulled apart. Others have a job here too, several times he was in that position and no one looked to lay him in.

I thought he was Barca's best player on the night. Sorry but you can;t expect him to pull rabbits out of his ass when he's constantly escorted by 4 hatchet men.

He was really heavily marked at times, but I still feel he could drive at them a bit more and try and create more space for others.

Props to him for dealing with the constant kicking and being fouled without losing it. I would have punched someone right in the face.

He must have some bruises. This is the problem. We see him appear off colour, but when you look at this game he was abused badly and anyone would struggle being kicked like that and despite what you think sometimes he is human.

This always happens when he has a game outside of his huge standards.

Another problem. He has 49 goals and 12 odd assists this season. And we still get angry with him when he dares to be normal.
