Wow. Come on Jorge, do you really need to take this so seriously? Suing Romario will generate more publicity than one garbage tweet!

I think he should... nowadays people say whatever they want, not bothering to check if things are true or not. And Romario tried to use Messi for his own agenda.

Well, in that case I think they should also sue that trashy Argentinian tabloid who PSed those fake pictures and that Spanish site El Confidential or whatever for fabricating rumors about Messi saying mean things to Tello and Alexis.

If they're not, they should. But they probably are suing them as well.

With these two, I am really hoping they will. They should make an example out of them and show the other detractors/losers out there with ulterior motives to go all out to tarnish Messi's image what would the outcome be if they dare to try.

I think asperger was dropped from DSM, wasn't it? Now everything is autism, different degrees.

Romario just tweeted Jorge Messi will sue him. He should check this things before announcing to the world as if it were true.

Don't know exactly if it was dropped from DSM since the new version didn't get published in my country yet. It seems these days people can say whatever they want , thrash your image without any repercussion. Messi's father should sue Romario and other newspapers that tried to ruin Messi's image.

More info please Flavia? Jorge took the blame and acknowledged he knowingly evaded taxes, however Messi had no knowledge of it?

Lionel Messi's father, Jorge Messi, has sent a letter to the court investigating them both for tax evasion, absolving his son of any responsibility in the management of his tax obligations.
Jorge Messi handed the letter over when he paid the €5 million (€4.1 million plus interest) he owed the Tax Office for suspected tax evasion between 2007 and 2010.
Messi "has always been dedicated solely to playing football," his father claims. In the letter he blames his former business partner, Rodolfo Schinocco, who was in charge of managing the profits generated by the player's image rights from 2005.
In spite of the exculpatory letter and payment of the €4.1 million evaded from the Tax office, Messi and his father still stand accused and will appear before the Judge on the 27th September.
By sending the letter exculpating his son of all responsibility for managing the tax due on his earnings, Jorge Messi has made a step towards having the criminal case against his son shelved.
Even the prosecution recognises that the idea to evade tax came from his father and the player's agent. This is illustrated by the fact that, back in 2005 when Messi was still a minor, his father entrusted a third party to create a holding corporation for alleged tax-evasion purposes.

Thanks Flavia. So basically Jorge blamed his former business partner, but didn't explicitly acknowledged any responsibility of the alleged tax evasion/wrongdoing on his own part, right?

It is good that Leo's name is pretty much cleared, at least in the eyes of the public.
