There needs to be a goal difference of 12 at the end of the season for that to happen right? Messi 60 goals, then Ronaldo 48 so Messi surpasses him.
I don't think that will happen, next season is more likely.

Assuming the stats Paganinisrvnge linked are correct (I don't manage to get CR7 to 325 goals by using stats from any site) then there'd have to be a goal difference of 14 in Messi's favour in order for him to surpass Ronaldo in career goals.
