I doubt they care about him getting paid more than him but players wont like him making demands on the club and getting away with it. No matter how good he is getting treated that differently and Messi having that attitude would upset the other players.

How much better he is than the rest of them is irrevelant it is not the way to make a team with one player so obviously treated differently.

It's not like he's ordering the club which starting 11 should be next game , what transfers should be done or things as such importance. He just wants to get payed more.

Neymar's wages are around 7M if I remember correctly, but to be honest, you should add 1/5 of the additional 40M that was a part of his fee. So that's about 7 + 8 = 15M.

The annoying this is that Balague is who most British football fans get their information on Spanish Football so they never really question him. A lot of people do read Sid Lowe and other journalists but the average fan will just hear what Balague has to say on Sky Sports and hold him in quite high regard.
