True , but he did score 21 or 22 games in a row. That's really impressive as well.
That's an understatement, the old record of 16 was achieved in Polish league in the 30's. I think that's the kind of record that will never be matched tbh.

At least Messi will still win and break one record this season, and that's the most Golden Shoe's, at 3.

Messi 3 2009-10, 2011-12, 2012-13

Eusébio 2 1967–68, 1972–73

just hoping his injury isn't too serious and this time he should be rested fully and completely, no need to bring him on as a sub or anything, to hell if we lose games or don't get that 100 point record, leo's health is above anything else.

LIGA all-time Top Scorer (215 vs 251 for Telmo Zarra).
UCL all-time Top Scorer (59 vs 71 for Raul).

So next season he can break 2 major all-time records:
37+ Liga goals.
13+ UCL goals.

Then comes the World Cup :)

Messi out for between two and three weeks

Tests carried out this morning have revealed that the Lionel Messi has a strained hamstring in his right leg and will be out for between 2 to 3 weeks. His participation in future game s will depend on his recovery process

The Argentinean limped off in the second half at the Calderon on Sunday after noting a twinge in the area he had previously been injured in.

Similar injury last month

Messi suffered a similar injury on April 2nd in Paris during Barça’s Champions League game against PSG, but he was back in action for the return game a week later, but he has been used sparingly since then, starting in the Allianz Arena (23 April) andl Vicente Calderón (12 May), whilst coming on to score against Bilbao and Betis.

Hope he takes the time to fully recover. I wouldn't mind if he takes 1 or 2 months off.

I don't see how people still not understand that Messi in false 9 doesn't work.

Put him back on the wing, buy a real mobile striker like Cavani and play with Cesc and Iniesta in the midfield.

That way you get the most out of everyone. Cesc will flourish once again like he did at Arsenal.

Too bad that the new striker or Madrid's new striker may become topscorer. Afterall the only thing people on this forum care about are Messi's stats and Ballon d'ors not what is the best for the club.
