Tata wanted to leave because he lost the dressing room, if Messi really is the Don he is portrayed as then no one would have dared to go against him, because Messi seemed to be supportive of the guy right till the end.

Nah there is a massive difference between no one really having the authority to tell Messi what to do and Messi making every decision at the club.

Look what I feel is 'Manager should be the boss' is legitimate and it's ethical , but it's not practical at our club right now. As far as the current situation is concerned. Sacking Luis Enrique is a better option than letting Messi go out.

As long as our club WINS I wouldn't mind Messi bossing the dressing room. It's not like Messi's partying and skipping training sessions. He doesn't have confidence in Lucho and from what I heard many players including Pique, Neymar have concerns with Luis Enrique. He may be just speaking for them too. . Have you guys seen this video
. Even Neymar knows better than Luis Enrique. Was it Tito/Roura when Messi came on as soon as possible against PSG after Pastore scored against us? But yesterday Luis Enrique wanted to prove a point instead of bringing them on to grab all 3 points. There are lot of issues if I go on, but as I said as long as we win it doesn't matter. We let Ibra go for peanuts ,but we won CL next year, it didn't matter much.

6racies Xavi
I agree with you, jamdav. But we don't know the full story, and from all the bits I gathered, Enrique is forcing a power play, like he did with Totti. Messi is just responding. And let's not be foolish. He is a special player, and demands a special treatment. Shutting him down isn't the way to go.

"A Leo hay que cuidarlo, esperar no se aburra, cuidar a su entorno y que EL CLUB SEA INTELIGENTE" - Guardiola.

What does it say ?

Before Messi we only had 1 CL won by a great generation (dream team). Messi represents better than no one the winning period of this club. By the time he finishes his career, he will be considered among the 3 best players of all time, if not the very best. And this clown comes and thinks he can defy him? I would accept it if it was Pep, Mourinho, Ancelotti,... and few others but this clown!! Ffs, even we as fans know for sure he is clueless and not suited for the job in anyway, these players(some of the best the sport has ever produced) know better than no one the mess this clown is making. Only Messi has the authority, because he has earned it, to go head with head with this coach(and again, only because he has nothing other than disaster after disaster since he began coaching to back him up). I fully suport Messi for all he has given to us and I hope he can add to his legendary cule status the task of kicking this board out since many socios dont have the balls to do it

So Messi gets to decide the manager and the board?

That is insane and not the way to get a top team back on the park.

Read any managers books or listen to any of them they will tell you players cant have that power no matter who they are.

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
Btw, I know Mourinho is unpredictable, but the way he's been praising Messi as of late, I seriously doubt that he would go against him like Lucho is.

He went against cr. They still don't speak to this day. Cr captained the dressing room against him.

That is part of the reason Mourinho praises Messi more now as well.

Mourinho and Ronaldo still make barbed comments against one another in the press.

I wonder how Mourinho would manage Messi if he did go to Chelsea.

Messi is a one off though being the best ever player along with Maradona. Maradona was a complete loose cannon as well on and off the pitch. Messi is nothing like that but does have an ego and can be awkward.

All you need to do is play him every game (in exchange for a hell of an output over a season) and be laissez fair towards him and build the team around him. It's different if he's acting up all the time and undermining him but he doesn't strike as the type to be anything like that unless he feels wronged. Don't make him feel wronged.

Read again, I said only because the clown is a proven failure. Never with coaches that have a resume to back them up. And Messi should just force the end of this board, the way he can do it, making the socios decide if its him or the clown(of course not by going out to the public and saying that, since you like to take everything so literal), after that he has no power to choose the board.
The books you are refering mean nothing when a club goes through a period like this. I'll give you one example only. Mou was a rotten apple in RM dressing room, Casillas and Ramos did what I hope Messi and others do now, look where it took them the season after that.
Sometimes measures have to be taken and in this case its not even a Mou we are trying to get rid of, it is a nobody, anybody with half a brain knows he should be out along with the board as soon as possible

I think Mourinho and Messi would clash but who knows.
