Definitely Higuain adn Palacio, Aguero was injured and invisible, Di Maria didnt do anything right beside the goal against the Swiss.
Funny despite his fellow stars underperforming and Sabella's tactics Messi gets all the hatred.
Mascherano was viewed as having a great world cup for having that one tackle vs the Netherlands, people even thing Di Maria was amazing, despite having a record of lost balls during the one game in which he scored.

Messi was easily their best player, he was just meh after round 16, but without him they never would have reached the final and if Higuain and Palacio could just finish those sitters history would be viewing his performance in a whole other light.
Despite all that he was still among the top 5/6 performers during the wc, James, Robben, Messi and a few Germans.
