The field was cleaned up after the game to wash Messi's vomit.

Anyone else think Messi is a little less likable than he once was?

He's far more likeable now. When he was younger he was much more petulant, getting sent off on his international debut, spitting on a player, kicking the ball at the Madrid fans, I think he tried to headbutt someone too. Oh and of course the hand of God incident which isn't very sportsman like.
that throwing up of his also worries me. i suppose it's due to him being stressed out constantly and i can easily imagine that this is just the beginning of a burn-out syndrome.

That's just a silly stab in the dark, unless you are in the medical profession you really shouldn't speculate. Take for example me speculating... maybe it's a phlegm problem he has?
He vomited again?

For god sake send him to some doctors who know what to check!

Do you really think they have not brought him to the doctor already? Bloody hell use some common sense.

Martino says it appears that "this is something he's had for quite some time. I'm not a specialist ... but something is not right, even if it doesn't affect his way of working."

Martino says Messi has gone to see a specialist, but that proved inconclusive.

I trully can't belive doctors are not taking this more seriously, at least from what we read. You can't just vomit so often, it could be minor but it could be heart problems as well

And they concluded nothing so lets get over it? This is common sense to you??

no one said we should get over it, it's just that no one knows what's the reason for it. and that is why i speculated that it might be a psychological problem, since specialists haven't found anything

Its stress/pressure/nerves/anxiety. I get it too when I know I have to do or I'm just about to do something important. I dont feel ill when it happens. My mouth just waters more, I have butterflies in my stomach and get random wretching but it stops as soon as im actually doing the thing I need to do.

Could be but anxiety can also be treated, I'm not sure it's healty for athlete to loose minerals through vomiting, I also Know when I had stomach bug and vomited doctoro told me loosing potassium is the most dangerous.

Are you seriously comparing your situation with his ? . He played football all his life and if throwing up due to anxiety would be the reason of him throwing up , he would have done that constantly in the early stages of his career when he just began to put his foot in the big stages of this sport. Did you see him threw up in his first clasico ? or his first CL semifinal , CL final , etc ? Also , what pressure would he feel playing against Bilbao of all teams , when we pretty much lost all titles this season ?

It's the same thing as saying that one of the best doctors ever , who has over 10 -15 years of experience ,who throws up constantly in the last period , does that because of anxiety , even if the procedure is a minor one.

I'm not comparing situations I'm comparing reactions since as far as I know we're both human. As for the whole doing it his whole career I'm sure Tata said he has. Also it might not be the anxiety of actually stepping out on but the pressure he puts on himself to score.
