Messi loses pace every year.... He loses motivation every year.... His prime is over every year! He loses humility every year.... And oh yeah.... Argentina's lack of talent kills his spirit every year

2015 Messi was amazing, it was quite a roller coaster to watch him play.. This season has been a step below that season sadly, some of us thought he was gonna retain that form. His prime is almost over hopefully we can get another season like that at least.

Ibrahimovic at 35 is having the best season of his entire career, people are to obsessed with age, 30 is no age anymore for a goalscorer. As long as Ronaldo is breathing down his neck, I have no doubt Messi will keep pushing himself to the limits, just look at his rection after Ronaldo winning 2015 gold ball, messi went into overdrive.

yea, that why Giggs at 40 bossed in the PL. Age has nothing to do with it, it is all about the players own desire to perform.

PL aint no second tier league though, french league is. Giggs didnt boss PL at the age of 40 either, he was long overdue a retirement.

You have no idea what you are talking about, Giggs owned the pitch coming on as a sub in several games, he was mom in the champions league at the Bernabeu at 40 years old. Age has little impact on the top tier players, they play with their brain, not their stamina. Messi will boss well beyond 35 if he so desire, it is all about his own desire to keep pushing himself.

He did well for a 40 year old, but common, he didnt boss anything, he was decent at best. Big mistake having a 40 year old in midfield instead of giving Pogba the chance, dont know what Fergie was thinking there.

He was simply better than Pogba at the time, Fergie if anyone should know what he was doing, it was the last league United won, and could very well be another 25-30 years untill they win their next one, just look at Liverpool. And the second tier argument about Ibrahimovic doesn't hold a candle, Aduriz and Ruben Castro are both turning 35 this season and yet both are the 2 best Spanish goal scores in la liga this season.

You can't compare players, different players have different physical conditions, strengths and weaknesses and peak time. Messi might not have the physical strength and work rate to play at this level that he has been on when he is in his 30's.

Messi has never exelled in neither physical strength nor work rate, he lives of his intelligence, and that won't go away even at 40 years of age. The argument about physical strength depending on age is complete bogus, just last week a man aged 78 climbed on his own one of the tallest mountains in the world.

It is all about will and determination, that is what retires a player.

What does Giggs, Aduriz and Ruben Castro got to do with Zlatan? It doesnt change anything, Zlatan plays in a second tier league were one team completely dominates.

Bogus argument, the team is dominating because of him, without him they would not be anywhere close to the team they are. Just like Athletic beat FC Barcelona in the super cup thanks to 34,5 year old Aduriz owning the match in Bilbao. Betis would not even be in Primera if it was not for Ruben Castro, and if they manage to avoid relegation, it will be almost exclusively thank to his goals.

I guess you think Chelsea also plays in a second tier league, because if not for Ibrahimovic they would have gone through the round against PSG.

If he doesn't have the legs and lungs to support him, he can have all the intelligence in the world without being able to do much on the field.

Of course age is not definitive enough when we are talking about physical strength, but people vary a lot. You have the likes of Luis Enrique who can run a marathon in their 40's and 50's but you also have young men in their 20's who can't. Certainly training plays a part but some folks are just physically stronger than others.
