i expect vintage messi at copa america.

regarding barcelona, we need someone who can confidently boss our midfield in the attacking sense so that msn rest at ease and rely on that dude to bring the ball to them. messi won't have to go back to bravo to get the ball anymore.

Well, they are resting when we don't have the ball, especially Ney and Messi. :)

The question is though - what if Messi wants and likes to drop back deep to get the ball and he'd continue to do so even if we get 2 or 3 creative midfielders that most of the board here is crying so loud for? I think him playing that way over the last two seasons (since we have Suarez) it's more about him prefering to create/assist over scoring than our midfielders inability to create but that just my opinion. :)

there's no doubt that messi is enjoying the creator role now more than scoring and he does like dropping deep to get the ball more, but i also think that it's due to our midfield's inability to create something for the forwards, just like in argentina where it is more apparent, because he just has to be a creator there. so in the end i honestly think that if we get an alpha type of midfielder, whom messi and co. can rely on, messi will gladly stick to his rw/fw role more if he gets the vibe of that creative and confident midfielder. of course he might get involved in midfield matters from time to time, but they will not clash as messi is experienced enough to put team before himself and his ego. in short, messi likes creating goals, but he also likes winning games more as it benefits the team more to their success, so if needed he will give up the creator's role as well, im sure of it.

when i said that msn could rest at ease, i meant psychologically, i didnt mean that they would have to run less, i meant that they can be reliant on the midfield, like our previous forwards relied on xaviesta to get the job done in the attacking sense.

6 Ballons for Messi

but what if he wins 7??
Real are onto another final but no one really cares, only messi can produce magical moments like barca - bayern last season when the whole world was in awe.

Kind of mind blowing that he's going to get a Ballon d'or for this joke of a UCL campaign, facing powerful adversaries like Rome, Wolfsburg and City towards the final, most of the groups were more difficult than those...

Diego Simeone's brother in law and former Argentina physical trainer during (Carlos Dibos) on Messi in an interview with Radio La Red

"Messi picked managers and players and did whatever he wanted with the national team. Now the truth is out, we’re sick [of his behaviour] in Argentina. We’re going to make that very clear”, stated Dibos, who worked with the team during Alfio Basile’s rain as manager between 2006 and 2008.

“Resentment, begrudgery and selfishness mean people can have crazy opinions in this country. I can’t believe there are journalists and pundits out there who say Simeone can’t manage the national team because Messi wouldn’t want him in charge. They’re bonkers”,
